Guide To: Country President Elections

Day 3,055, 03:56 Published in USA USA by Department of Citizen Affairs

It's almost time for another round of CP (country president) elections, so let's refresh ourselves on what those involve. CP elections are held on the 5th of every month. In order to hold the office of CP, a citizen must meet the following requirements:

-Level 18 or higher
-Be a member of a political party
-Receive endorsement from your party president (PP)

The first step of the CP election process is the party primary. Each PP must pick the candidate they wish for their party to endorse by the 2nd of the month. They do not have to pick anyone if they so choose. All of the Top 5 parties determine their endorsement by polling their party members. It is typical for candidates for CP to visit the forums of other parties to campaign for that party's endorsement. It's important to remember that a candidate will not appear on the ballot on the 5th if their own party does not endorse them. For instance, if a member of We The People wishes to run for CP but does not receive the WTP endorsement, they will not appear on the ballot.

This was the March 2016 CP election. The first party listed is the party the candidate was a member of when they received their endorsement. Supporting parties are other parties that also gave the candidate their endorsement. On the 5th, there is an open election. Citizens can vote for whichever candidate they prefer, they don't have to vote for the candidate their party endorsed. On the 6th, Admin reviews the election results and the new CP takes office on the 7th.
