Green solutions to the problem
Peter Green
In a previous article I wrote about the current unethical business practices which are going on in the Human Resource section of V1. Now I want to address those problems by starting a debate about possible solutions for this issue. Here are some proposals coming from commentators on my previous article:
1) prevent employers from posting offers they cannot pay
2) only allow for a negative salary adjustment of up to a fixed % per day (to be determined by Congress)
3) job offers should be viewed as a three day contract with no changes in salary permitted over the first 72 hours
Next to these game mechanical solutions, we could also ask our government to take action whilst waiting on admin to intervene. The US Green Party would like to propose a 5 point action plan. This plan is, of course, up for discussion.
1) Charge a government body with the collection of complaints about unfair business practices and the investigation of accused companies.
2) Set up a public 'black list' with all companies who act unfair on the human resource board and who refuse to clean up their act after being forewarned. This list can be consulted by unemployed workers who are looking for a reliable company to work for.
3) Deny all help (e.g. in the form of subsidies) to companies on the black list. Make sure no government entity buys goods from those companies.
4) Set up a public 'green list' with companies who sign an ethical business charter, promising to pay the advertised wages for at least 3 days.
5) Choose the 'green list' companies as preferred business partners for all government purchases.

Voted! Great job!
Very good...this is a quite important thing, therefore unethical behaviour brings unethical reputation to the US, so... solving this problem will make all happy (except for the tricksters, but who cares?)
On the first three proposals (not the 5 point action plan): 1) Yes, 2) No, 3) Yes. We need Raw Materials Employees to turn this resource problem around. State Tree Farmer's Union is hiring Wood workers ($5 USD + Wood Skill + 20 Shares of STFU stock signing bonus)- http://www.erepublik.com/en/company/state-tree-farmer-s-union-178869
We can create a "Department of Labor" on the Gov't side to help manage this type of issues.
Brilliant.
I'll be the first to sign into the "green list".
About the three proposals:
I think that only one of them would not bring the problem to a real solution, it would only make it a little less heavy. If someone offers a job he can't afford, proposal number 2 & 3 would only let workers get hired but unable to work.
And the first one is easily avoidable for rich people: I am rich ---> I offer a 100 USD work ---> I hire someone ---> the trick is done.
But if the three of them will be put up together, maybe then they would guarantee some safety to workers.
I have no real solution to the problem, and actually these three proposals are a good beginning.
Regarding the black/green plan: I don't think it's an option, I think it's necessary, really necessary.
I also think that the government should punish in some way this kind of behaviour, maybe it's the only way to stop it.
If there are no rules and laws that forbid certain behaviours, we cannot whine about tricks.
(maybe the Admins would be really interested in helping as soon as they become aware of the problem)
I didn't talk about ethics on purpose, the world is full of people who don't care about ethics, so the way to maintain order should be the Law.
I am not Judge Dredd, I only hate injustices and I cannot shut up in front of them 🙂
@ Peter Green: maybe you should edit this article and repeat the black list you put on the other one... you know, in Economy World, advertising is everything 😉
agreed. Malpractice has to stop.
Evrybody please report companies in the comments that you suspect of doing this companies or SO...

just make sure to add "Dark Wheats" to the black list!
