Gotta Make Our Minds Up, Which Path Will We Take?

Day 1,673, 21:53 Published in Canada Canada by Shoi12

Terra is a mess. The new age is coming. The new alliance will change everything, again. What I'm talking about is the emergence of talks between Spain, Brazil, and the US, among other parties, forming an alliance, first widespread here. If this idea comes to fruition, and it most likely will, it will spark a new era, where friends become enemies and enemies become friends. The question is, where will Canada stand?

As of right now, there are three major alliances: EDEN, pro-EDEN Terra, and rival ONE. However, this new alliance would gut out two of Terra's strongest nations, Brazil and USA. It would also cut Spain and most likely Poland from ONE, along with Croatia, China, and Argentina as possible additions. This could, if all is as planned, make the new alliance the most powerful in the game. The eRepublik's own Miami Heat could destroy in its path. Think about who's in the way.

Without founders Brazil, Argentina, and USA, the only major nation left in Terra is Russia, and formidable as they be, they alone are no match for the new alliance, codename SUPER (Strong and United Power in E-Republik). Even with other decent 'powers' like Belarus and France, Terra will be helpless. On top of that, most of SUPER, save USA, are not fond of the Frenchies, so there's that.

Alright, so what about EDEN? EDEN does have some countries with formidable power, but the main focus for SUPER is to leave the Balkans alone, while EDEN focuses in the Balkans. Portugal and Spain are rivals, but Spain's shown that when push comes to shove it can beat Portugal, and China won't be an adversary, but rather an ally this time. On top of that, deceivingly strong Croatia may jump ship and work with SUPER.

The last group is ONE, and by far the most interesting. Of course, the greatest variable is whether or not Poland joins Spain, though it is highly likely they will go with the Spaniards. Where does leave ONE? They only have FYROM, stuck in their hundred-year war with Greece, and Serbia, who while expansive is still stuck in the south. Slovakia and Moldova are stuck with Ukraine creepily grinning at them. Bulgaria's strong, but though Turkey's weak they somehow put up resistance quite well. Especially with two of their greatest members jumping ship, there's no way for them to fight back against such a powerful group.

So it's pretty clear there's not much stopping such a group. So, as good friends with the US, where do us Canadians go? Do we stick with dying Terra or do we hitch a ride with the Americans? As a country only recently returning to respectability, we need to make ourselves worthy of worship. And what better way than to go to the strongest alliance? Maybe being America's hat isn't the worst thing after all. And look at what we could do!
