Gold Factories... Good Idea?
Wolflordy
Hello, for those of you who don't know me. I'm a fairly new player to this game. This is also my first article...
ANYWAY. I was reading and juggling (don't judge me...) and this amazing idea popped into my head...
Gold Factories?
"HAH! Free gold? Like the admins are going to go for that!"
Hey! They might 😉
The idea is that you build your factory at Q1-Q4, producing 0.02, 0.08, 0.2, 0.5 gold respectively.
Pretty minimal, the investment would be paid back to the player in approximately a year. Not a bad way to go for long term "play-every-day" players.
But how are the admins going to buy into this?
Well firstly there has to be limitations on this, such as the gold produced counts in your 10 gold a day. Also, there can't be any employees. And Q5-Q7 factories are out due to the amount they would have to produce. And the same level limits on the rocket factories applies to the gold factories. (like lvl 30 for a Q3 rocket, you'd need to be lvl 30 for a Q3 gold factory). Some pretty standard ideas.
But also, why not include a short advertisement? Oh no... I have a feeling I said a taboo...
However, it wouldn't be a required thing to see (only if you want to produce the gold do you have to see it). A short clip of 30 seconds in my opinion is well worth the gold.
But this way the admins get paid as well right? Everyone's happy? A win-win?
The players get some much needed gold, and the admins can get some money from the advertisements as well as everyone who goes out to buy gold to buy the gold factory (ironic? maybe... but I'd bet it would happen)
I would appreciate your opinions on this.
And thus, the first [of hopefully many] concluding picture of a wolf!
... or something wolf related that caught my eye... (don't judge me...)

By the way. I do not know if someone has already thought of this idea. If so I apologize.
This is a pretty sound idea. Ignore the haters...good on you for putting your ideas out there.
I like this guy....
Maybe they can sell gold factories in the form of "shares" where they would release a set amount of gold factories which would in total would produce a percentage of the profits that eRepublik would make. Dunno. I knida stole that idea from Land Deeds in the game, Entropia Universe.
That wouldn't really make this game more fun though, but it's a little bit to add to the gold factory idea and money circulation.
Good idea if you playing without using credit card, mastercard, or something like that...
I like this guy....
This idea sounds great.
i liked your article but you still need an EZC uniform
The question is, why I should invest in a factory with a ROI of a year?
@MaestroAkel. I have a EZC uniform, it's on my profile picture just not on the newspaper article picture.
@Luminara. A Q7 weapons factory costs 1230 gold. With 1 gold equaling 1000 USD you now have a factory worth 1230000 USD. Divide that by 44.5 USD (the current price of a Q7 weapon) and then divide that again by 20 (the amount of weapon u produce with full weapon bonuses) and you should have the amount of days until your investment is payed off. That number is 1382 days. So slightly less than 4 years.
With that in mind I think a 1 year pay out is pretty decent...
😁^ Seems pretty sound to me
Actually, the idea surfaced as an April fool's prank last year. I was disappointed to hear it was not true.
I luv this guy....
Voted. Hard.
every change in the game mechanics is welcomed.
Good idea but the Admins will never go for it.
absolutely brilliant!
a lot of the zinga based facebook games let you sign up for various half baked schemes and blatant data mining programs in exchange for varying amounts of in game currency. The program was awesome in my mind and likely made zinga part of their gazillions of dollars that they now swim in every day!
Good idea man !!!

Great idea

Yes but how many emps can you have with a q7 weapons factory? So the pay off would fall well short of 1382 days. If we had no emps for gold factories then it's a bit skewed. That being said, I like the idea and big ups for putting it out there.
@Yipsee Fooks Yes it's true it's a fairly basic math. And the payout for Q7 with max employees is probably less than a year (too lazy to look it up then do the math), especially with this job market. [also the reason why I didn't include that in the article, only in the comments]
But because it's gold it pretty much has to be the longest term investment out there. Otherwise the gold market would dramatically crash.
GOOD IDEA FURFAG
hey i like this dude and its a great idea
There used to be advertisements that you could click on and get gold. I think it was V1. Mostly they required you giving them your personal info, so multi farms used it to get rich and regular people ignored it.
I like the idea of a gold factory.
I'd like to see the donating of bazookas and and energy bars before this but voted for sticking your neck out there.
To address the fact that it takes like 4 years to make back the cost of a Q7 weapon factory, you must remember that it is put straight into damage that would otherwise be unavailable to the company user, and the folks who own these companies are typically governments/big MUs.
A gold factory would be a must have for all players, I would think if it was available....
vs
I would never give 70 gold coins to earn 0,5 per day. It's just bad.Only if this factory would be build like the health buildings it would be nice. For example,20.000 cc.In this way,all players could have it from the very first day.
And I hate ads! They have to start investing on this game, and not by brainwashing me.
at least it would help to keep the gol😛cc course stable. but not sure if admins want that they seem to be more interested in manipulating it with lulz ads and special actions.
malakia idea.
That have to do if the admins want to make gold cheaper. But for me producing gold its a wrong move, because in reality you can't do it. If the admins want to make gold cheaper, there are other ways.
I'd like to see the donating of bazookas and and energy bars before this but voted for sticking your neck out there.
x2
welp I wrote horribly back then
well differently
