Dear citizens of Germany-Austria,

With it becoming more and more likely that Germany-Austria might join ATLANTIS, I realized that I really don't have any idea what our current relations with Sweden are. I have a feeling many of you don't know as well, so I set to find out.

I contacted the Swedish President, Algaroth who graciously accepted to have an interview.

How interested are you in peaceful relations with Germany?
Very interested.

Would you still demand Schleswig-Holstein?
No.

Do you think we are capable of being in a peaceful alliance?
Enough to give it a shot. It's better than what we've been doing to each other so far.

If Germany attempts to join PEACE, what is the probability that Sweden would attack?
New fronts are being opened between ATLANTIS and PEACE every day. So maybe.

Do you believe you could win such a war?
1-on-1, Sweden vs. Germany, I think we could win, would be even though.

If Germany remains neutral or can't make a decision, what is the probability that Sweden would attack?
Unless you join PEACE we have no reason to attack.

Do you believe you could win such a war?
Define winning, if we have no reason to attack, I don't think we can win.

If Germany attempts to form an ESA, what is the probability that Sweden would attack?
The ESA is neutered. It doesn't work because none of the most powerfull nations will join it. So if you start an ESA it's the equivalent of building a treehouse and saying "no girls allowed". Nobody cares.

Do you believe you could win such a war?
Probably. I'd just send my VP in with cooties.

If Germany were to Join ATLANTIS, do you think you would be capable of defending us from a full scale invasion from Italy and Hungary?
I am confident in the ATLANTIS soldiers.

How, if at all, do you think the war between PEACE and ATLANTIS will end?
Total annihilation. None will back down until the other has been pounded into dust and had their faces hammer-smashed. I've been listening to some Cannibal Corpse today.

What do you think of frozen4 and toothpaste's attempt at political invasion of Germany-Austria?
I honestly don't know much about that.

Are you in any way involved in their effort?
No. Seriously, no.

Do you approve of what they are doing?
I've basically made it a rule do disapprove of everything Toothpaste does.

And do you think they will be successful?
It's 2 guys. If they're successfull there is something seriously wrong.

What is your view on the union of Germany and Austria?
As long as you have consent you can do whatever you want.

What about the ESA (European Social Alliance) do you believe that it has potential?
No.

Are there any circumstances under which Sweden be willing to join such an organization?
I highly doubt it. You can't get any of the superpowers to join and they sure aren't about to leave their Alliances. The ESA is nothing but an ideal, but sometimes you need to be realistic. PEACE would either run ESA like a puppet or crush it.

Are you resentful about Denmark, Germany, or Poland's independence?
I have some personal issues with the German politicians behind Operation Burning Spirit, but not with Germany or it's people. We have good relations with Denmark and Poland.

Do you agree with toothpaste's policies that led to this situation?
I wouldn't call it "policies" as much as nothing. I was against Toothpaste becoming president because I was certain he didn't have the experience or the skills to handle a diplomatic crisis of that magnitude. He even kicked me out of congress for disagreeing with him.

Swedes have been quoted as thinking it is unfair that Germany is "hogging all the high-grain regions" do you agree with them?
Not as much as when you opened up embargos against us. But I do feel sweden needs, and deserves a HIGH region of some kind.

Have you considered the possibility of a trade agreement that could get Sweden cheap grain in exchange for iron or wood?
Sure, if Admin re-implemented trade agreements I'm sure we would have all kinds of lucrative deals with our allies.

No doubt you are aware of Germany's trouble deciding what alliance (if any) to join. Can you honestly say that ATLANTIS is our best choice?
I think Germany is caught between a rock and a hard place right now. All I know is that you can't stay neutral much longer. Sweden has offered you peace and a chance to join ATLANTIS. PEACE has threatened to invade you if you do not join them. I think the choice should be easy.
