Salam Aleykum brothers and sisters from eKSA,

The third article in the German Week is about the sports in Germany. It is an important part of the German culture and society. Approximately one in three Germans is a member in a sport club. I'm sorry that there were no articles yesterday and the day before, but I had too much to do. Pardon!

The most popular sport in Germany is definitely football. Many stars played and play in the famous Bundesliga, Germany's football league. Teams like Bayern Munich (Bayern München), the HSV or the German national team are very successful. But not only the male teams are successful, also for example the female national team is one of the best teams in the world.

German football players are known everywhere. Here are some famous players:

Jupp Heynkes
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge

Another popular German sport is ice hockey. In the winter, the stadiums are always full. Some say that ice hockey is the football of the winter and I think they are right.

A typical male sport in Germany is the formula 1. Stars like Sebastian Vettel or Michael Schumacher are still very successful.

German tennis stars like Boris Becker or Steffi Graf are also well-known.

But especially for me, the Klitschko brothers, originally Ukrainian but living for a long time in Germany, like idols. They are both good boxers and they represent the ideal of integration. Many Germans think that the Klitschkos have the German nationality because they speak German perfectly, but they are still Ukrainians. Especially for me, an Arab in France, they reflect a perfect form of social integration.

Der dritte Artikel der Deutschen Woche handelt vom deutschen Sport. Der Sport ist ein wichtiger Bestnadteil der deutschen Gesellschaft und Kultur, etwa einer von drei Deutschen ist Mitglied in einem Sportverein. Es tut mir leid, dass ich gestern und vorgestern keine Artikel veröffentlicht habe, ich hatte leider sehr viel zu tun. Pardon!

Der beliebteste Sport in Deutschland ist definitiv Fußball. Viele Stars spielen in der berühmten Bundesliga. Mannschaften wie Bayern München, der HSV oder die Nationalmannschaft sind sehr erfolgreich. Aber nicht nur die männlichen Mannschaften sind erfolgreich, auch die Frauennationalmannschaft beispielsweise ist eine der besten der Welt.

Deutsche Fußballspieler sind weltberühmt. Hier sind einige berühmte Spieler:

Viele Deutsche denken, dass die Klitschkos Deutsche seien, weil sie perfekt deutsch sprechen, aber sie sind immer noch Ukrainer. Besonders für mich, einen Araber aus Frankreich, spiegeln sie eine perfekte Form der sozialen Integration wider.
