Geo-strategic position of Kosovo and Metohia

Greetings.
Now let’s imagine that March is already here and that admins added Kosovo and Metohija to the game. Kosovo and Metohija is supposed to be a high iron region so there is no doubt that from the beginning it will become a target for many countries in the area.
As already announced, it is supposed to happen simultaneously with implementation of new War and Economy modules, and adding of eMontenegro and eMacedonia or eFYROM (however you like it, I don’t want to start new polemics about it, that’s why I put both)


There are two variants of adding of eKosovo and Metohija which are not completely clear to us:
1. Will eKosovo and Metohija be a part of eSerbia with separate option for a resistance war and does that mean that our MPPs will be activated in case of attack on Kosovo and Metohija?

2. If Kosovo and Metohija doesn’t end up as a part of eSerbia, meaning it will be added as an independent country, then our MPPs are definitely not going to activate while defending the region and we will have to sign new ones (because on the very first day we are going to conquer what belongs to us).
The first option is pretty vague when it comes to MPPs, while the second is not favorable to us. So let’s start discussing the “what if’s”.

First, we are going to analyze the potential threats in the area.
As far as the western border is concerned, i.e. the threat from eCroatia, there are several potential scenarios:


At the moment, eCroatia is a biggest threat to us in the area, but neither because of their military strength nor strength in numbers but because of the numerous MPPs we have activated while attacking Slavonija.
In order to come to eKosovo and Metohija they would have to conquer eMontenegro first. Because eMontenegro would be orientated toward PHOENIX, they will sign MPPs with the strongest members of PHOENIX as well as with us.
Therefore, eCroats will have to conquer eMontenegro on their own (without MPPs) which would be a tough mission, and only then could they attack eKosovo and Metohija and go to war with us. If they conquer eMontenegro they will also conquer eKosovo and Metohija because we wouldn’t be able to handle their numerous MPPs.
Potential TOs of both eKosovo and Metohija and eMontenegro should be kept in mind, but we hope that we will have strength in numbers and prevent that, because we have 3.5 times more players than eCroatia.

Second threat comes from Romania. They want high iron so desperately that they will be ready to invest huge amounts of gold into conquering one.
The first wave of the attack could go via Bulgaria and our Southern Serbia region. If Bulgaria goes down again, we think that we learned from our mistakes so that we won’t repeat them... If Vidin goes down first and then Sofia, the attack on Southern Serbia will ensue, and our MPPs will be activated, and they will make it harder for themselves. We already kicked their asses in 1 on 1 fight in Bulgaria, so they would have an even bigger problem when our MPPs come to help us, and we can’t even imagine the amount of gold they will need for this mission.

The second scenario would include the attack via the newly-formed country of eMacedonia (eFYROM). If it turns out that attacking Kosovo and Metohija doesn’t activate our MPPs this option would turn out to be much successful although it goes around Serbian regions and through Macedonian. More moves and attack but it’s a much more favourable option.

We shouldn’t forget Greece which already has its own high iron region Central Greece, but which could help EDEN in conquering eKosovo and Metohija. As they present the least of a threat we’re not going to go into details. Because, if we had one high iron region we certainly wouldn’t try to conquer another.


Conclusion:

It’s a very inconvenient situation which could be kept under control but which could also very easily get out of hand.
In case it turns out to be a high iron region in deed, I assume that Serbia would give up the regions in Indochina (if we conquer them by then) and focus its attention to Kosovo and Metohija.
If by any chance it doesn’t turn out to be a high iron region, it won’t become a target for our enemies, but its importance for us will still remain.


What are we to do when they add eKosovo and Metohija into the game?

First, we’re all going to move there in the first days and automatically get citizenships (if there make Kosovo and Metohija an independent country with its own citizenships). Shortly after that we will attack ourselves in Serbia and remove the protection new countries get after their addition (which I believe is 3 months) and after that we will conquer it by swapping regions and move thousands of players they, build the infrastructures and make it the strongest fortress in Balkans and farther.
There’s no doubt that adding Kosovo and Metohija and other Balkan countries will significantly increase tensions and military activities. PHOENIX and EDEN will fight tooth and nail but there will be only one winner. And soon we will know who it will be.
