Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't starting talks with EU go side by side to having to enter a compromise towards the issue of Kosovo?
This is in no way me hitting the serbian population in eJapan, just a curious question expecting a reasonable answer (without hatred).
If serbia wants to enter the EU, they need to recognize Kosovo as an independant nation. That is the thing.

Yeah most definitely.
Negotiations about Kosovo are being held parallely with the EU integrations. The whole issue is going to be (already is) diluted down by the course and length of the (both) negotiations..which is not such a bad thing, cuz there is so much less tension in the air.
Pretty much everything is on the table exept explicitly acknowledging their independence..at our end at least.
