FRoSEA Presidential Election - Early days analysis

Day 680, 04:35 Published in Malaysia New Zealand by Carr De Vaux

Disclaimer: As I am currently assisting http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/1381987>Badlands with his presidential campaign (mostly translation), i would like to state that from the beginning to avoid any judgement of my possibly perceived biasness. I would, like all great journalists and analyts, remain impartial and objective in my analysis.

The presidential election is merely 4 days away and things have began to heat up. Two FUP primary candidates - http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/1297255>Vikta and http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/1226365>Jeff Hamilton have annouced their intentions to contest for the FUP endorsement for the FRoSEA presidency very early in this campaign. Vikta threw his first salvo by announcing http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/my-platform-for-the-efrosean-presidency-961876/1/20> his platform to further drive up the population of FRoSEA, with the ambitious aims of 4000+ e-citizens. Amongst his other visionary promises included one-off money gift to new babies, fixed training funding for platoons of our army. Vikta also supports the current neutrality of FRoSea and the economics management of Nagyzee. Badlands, the DAP presidency candidate, has http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/what-type-of-leader--963236/1/20>succintly questioned the ability of FRoSEA to fund some of the ambitious (and expensive) program of Vikta.

: I initially have heard that Vikta intends to declare war to eJapan, which he later denied. Also there was a now-missing declaration from FUP senior member (Gustavius) to advise FUP members to support Gen-tiger instead of Vikta~! [editte😛 my apology to gen-tiger for the earlier defamation. luckily you can't sue millions of gold out of me!]

Jeff Hamilton on the other hand, who was the FUP party candidate in the last election, has announced his plans and vision for this nation http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/what-jeff-hamilton-will-do-for-you-if-nominated-part-1-960338/1/20>two days ago. In summary, he promised more population (1500), a military reform that is neither Gustavius or Nagyzee (which could means nothing), added commitment to Sol and low taxes. Apart from vague plans, there is no actual substance offered - like how he intended to expand the population, or what he meant by added commitment to Sol (proactive deployment of FRoSEA army?).

The incumbent FRoSEA president, http://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/1381987>Badlands17 has yet to announce his official platform for this election. He has shown us that http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/it-s-on-again-a-message-from-the-prime-minister-959897/1/20>he made good of his promises in the last election, as well as the http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/what-type-of-leader--963236/1/20> qualities he deemed necessary in the leader of a nation. Considering the reasonable good progress in the past month, many have considered Badlands to have done an excellent job in steering the Union in troubled times. A DAP insider has reliably informed me that DAP would fully endorse Badlands's candidancy and there would be no primary within DAP itself. However, Nagyzee, the DAP president has yet to issue any official endorsement. DAP, still bruising from its sound defeat in the congressional election, would really need to push for a solid campaign in order to retain the Union presidency (which call for a positive platform and promises from Badlands).

A new party - the FRoSEA Socialist Party, led by the great Jack Robert (of eThailand) might offer an endorsement at the very last minute. Their http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/frosea-socialist-party-needs-you--961571/1/20>socialist-radical platform has recently attracted a lot of attention and debate. IN my humble opinion, they do provide a refreshing outlook and point-of-view, which i might incline to hear more about.

As for the minor parties - Djozikeist Church of Malaysia, United People's Party, Strong Independent Malaysia, none of them have issued any official standpoint at this stage.

Would eFRoSEAns vote for grand visions with the possibly cost of bangkrupcy, or as Vikta put it, for "mediocracy" with the benefits of stablity and proven track record? Or would the baby-boomers of mostly RL malaysians, driven by the familiarity to Vikta (and his facebook ads) vote en-bloc and confirm once and for all the changed demographic of this nation?

I pray that rational mind overcomes emotional thought. I do wonder who would some of the most respectable like Nagyzee, Thingol, Gustavius, gen-tiger, MartyMcFly, jeff_shiiste, Albert Neurath, nicholas2000, Gertude Groan, Lopici Gaspar and others would support and why? Please kindly vote this article up and leave your generous comments/debate.

ps: Would we have a presidential debate? Would we agree on a longer term presidency? one month is simply not enough to do anything substantial....
