FREEDOM

Day 1,205, 05:32 Published in Greece Greece by Blue Lord

In the past few years there have been many changes on this game. More or less all it was, was about the way we could develop our citizen, how to level up, how to work and train or fight. Moreover, you could collect money and buy a house that you could always have in your inventory helping you to keep your health high instead of struggling to find food to keep your health up. Of course you can buy one now but according to what level it is, it is only for a limited amount of time with a respective price.

All the players, because that is we are, realise that the main reason of all that is for the game providers to make us give some REAL money for playing a VIRTUAL life game. Well, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. They need to get paid somehow for what they are doing and they force no-one to pay. It is really a matter of choice, for playing a virual life game whereas to develop you need real money. Contradictive.

And let's come now to the point of the game.... Is there one? There is such a big focus on how to play the Virtual game without mixing the real life… But we are asked to do things like we do in real life, i.e. work, train, fight, vote…., and to face traitors of anyone’s nation, like in real life. So pretty much like in real life we do the same stuff but only by pressing the mouse button. Some may have experience the “bravery” of others as anyone hidden behind his keyboard is a superman. Yet the activity on this game is increasing as for most of us having the national pride, we want to defend our country’s rights whether virtual or not. The same hate and the same attitude such as in real life someone may face it or experience it here in VL. And from one point of view someone may say it is rather pathetic to try not to mix the VL with the RL, and ending up doing EXCACTLY the same thing. It is like a fighter that holds a sword. It is not a real part of his body, but it is definitely an extension of his emotions and intentions, which could be to kill, to protect, to support, to serve, or anything like that. The name of the action depends on which side you are standing on. So is it VL an extension of RL?

“Hellas and the word” has printed many articles that had to do with the greatness of Hellas. Of course there are nations that have offered so much in mankind. Like war, death, weapons, slavery, racism, poverty, hunger, military experiments, treason, diseases etc. Hellas like all nations, has offered civilization, medicine, literature, philosophy, religion, theater, culture, food, engineering, mathematics, science, astronomy, heroism and above everything else, Freedom. Freedom. Hellas has offered freedom. Freedom to the whole wide world. She did it in RL she is doing it in VL. Fighting on the side of the weak and allowing her enemy to recover when she had the chance to eliminate it. People who have given nothing came to this land and took everything. They demand without giving. They claim without offering. They speak with no fear of consequence. Freedom. The greatest good someone can have in his life. The greatest good that all little countries among the years fought or are fighting to obtain. Hellenes died with no questioning. They faced the face of death and slavery and they raised their bodies to stop it. With a heart as big as a mountain every single one of them fought to prevent the slavery of the world. Among the years of human civilization there are countless battles that were fought and won in defense. Even when they lost they had won. Ten against thousands! Three hundred against millions. They all made History, and that CANNOT change. They fought for the right and have been acknowledged by all nations’ leaders. And we all can see that VL or RL this is what Hellas, will always do. Being great and unique, and protect everybody. Even those who hate her. She spreads her wings with love and cherishes them. Right or wrong, good or bad, they come to her hug and she gives the same love to all. That is why Hellas’s flag is a symbol to freedom, and the national anthem is a Hymn to Freedom.

This is the reality we face in Virtual life. Spend real time, spend real money – if you like, act as you would in real life but do it virtually. Is it erepublik a virtual game? We all have met Plato… This wise guy, with the appearance of a Greek philosopher who helps us during the game. Someone may wonder, have the creators of the game paid any spiritual rights to Greece for using the name and the lookalike of an ancient Greek philosopher? Because when the players have to pay real money for playing a VL game which provides real economical effort to the creators and the players have to face some rules, is it ethical to get advantage of a nations legacy. Personally I cannot give any answer as I am not the appropriate one. I cannot provide the questions either. They just arise logically.
Nevertheless, Greece’s greatness is met in every little or big thing we come across our virtual life or real one. And that is how it is, and cannot be changed. And as a spiritual father said once, “I asked Jesus: “how much do You love me?” And He sai😛 “This much”. And then He spread his arms and died for me.” Greece always spread her arms and died for her children. And for any other children of the earth. That is why the Hellenic flag has the Cross as a symbol of faith. A symbol of sacrifice. A symbol of Freedom.
