ForReal for Congress

Day 762, 10:46 Published in Canada Canada by Johnny ForReal

Today I declared my intentions to run for Congress. I’ve chosen BC as my riding, but it is my opinion that a Congressional position is a national responsibility. Most of the issues that Congress is required to vote on are national issues. Who should be our allies? Who do we declare war on? What should be our fiscal policy? These are national concerns and thus will require a national focus. A focus I will be strive to provide if I am elected to represent the good people of BC in Congress.

I am the first to admit that I haven’t got any experience in Congress. But how many people do have experience in Congress? Current and past members only. These men and women have done an admirable job, but I’d ask that you give some new blood a chance to serve Canada.

To date I have served Canada in several ways. I have been a faithful and reliable employee, earning 3 Hard Worker medals in 3 months. I have served in the CAF, first as a CAF Ranger and now as a Corporal in the 33rd “Wildcards” Reserve Platoon. And I serve as Canadian ambassador to the UK.

How will I serve Canada as a Congress Member?

Fiscal Responsibility: I recognize that the current high gold value of the dollar makes international trade difficult for many of our nations business owners. However, it allows the government to better fund military actions and social projects. Due to the high number of conflicts we and our allies have experienced in December I feel it is likely that we will have continued need of this gold revenue in January. It is for this reason that I support keeping the dollar to gold ratio we currently have.

A Strong Military: December was a violent month and I feel that many of these hostilities will continue into January. We have a responsibility to our citizens and our allies to make sure that the CAF is ready for battle. To this end I will ensure that the CAF continues to receive the same level of support they have in recent months. We’ve proven time and again that the Canadian Army is a force to be reckoned with. Let’s keep it that way.

Open Door Policy: As much as possible I would like to hear from the average citizen. If there is a vote on a new issue I would like to know what you want me to do. I will set up my organizations newspaper to be a forum for discussing what is safe to discuss in public and solicit opinion polls. Because votes have a 24 time limit, obviously these polls will have limited time lines themselves. I ask that citizens PM me with ideas and questions and I’ll do my best to answer in a timely manner for the entire time I am in office.

New Citizens: Canada is an attractive place to live. I intend to ensure services for new players continue to run efficiently. In addition to this, I think Canada can increase efforts to entice experienced players from other nations to come to our shores. Through marketing and efforts by the ambassador corps I feel this is something Canada could improve its efforts on.

Canada is a strong nation in great shape. I ask for this opportunity to help her grow and become even greater.

Sincerely,
