Egypt is likely to be a prosperous land with own sources of oil, fruit, iron, and cattle. This also could make us a target. We have some established countries on our borders, if we can establish strong relations/alliances with these countries we can make a good effort to our security.

Who do we border
3 of our regions border a total of 4 countries - Greece, Israel, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia. We might say 5 countries, as Cyprus is also on our borders, but for now that country is likely to stay under either Greek (current) or Turkish occupation.

Lower Egypt borders: Southern Cyprus (currently Greece), Mediterranean Coast of Turkey (Turkey), Aegean Islands (Greece), and Crete (Greece).
Red Sea Coast borders: Al Madinah (Saudi Arabia) and Tabuk (Saudi Arabia).
Sinai borders: Southern Cyprus (currently Greece), Beersheba South District (Israel), Tabuk (Saudi Arabia), and Al Jawf (Saudi Arabia).

Defense considerations
So we can see where our priorities for defence should lie - First Lower Egypt, Second Red Sea Coast, and Third Sinai (I put Sinai 3rd because if it falls then the attacker must still go through Red Sea coast or Upper Egypt - and if someone is seeking a route to attack Israel or Saudia Arabia, they might seek to gothrough Sinai).

I would like to propose that soon after congress elections, that a Defense Strategy is drawn up that prioritises moving population to these border states and building defense systems to protect them.

Foreign Relations objectives
We need to prioritise our near neighbours in our foreign policy strategy. We should establish bilateral relations with Greece, Israel, and Turkey as priority - Greece and Turkey are the most powerful players in this region, and we do not want to get swallowed up in their great rivalry. Saudi Arabia is already a friend, through the TAGE connections, but we must be aware of the potential for PTO of Saudi, and/or invasion of Saudi by her neighbours, which could give them access to Egypt.

We should not join one of the grand alliances at this point. Smaller countries tend not to benefit from them and in fact make themselves an easy and justifyable target to the opposing alliance.

We should consider the possibilities of regional alliance - perhaps with UAE, Saudi, and Israel. Until Greece and Turkey resolve their differences we should not invite only one of them into an alliance as this will make us partisan and invite the possibility that the other will attack us.

We should appoint capable ambassadors to Saudi, Greece, Turkey, and Israel. We should seek to set up co-operation agreements and invite imports of resources from these countries. Economic ties help increase the costs to our neighbours of agressive actions.
