For your Consideration: National Presidential Love

Day 1,182, 18:23 Published in USA USA by Glove

Extremism, in the defense of liberty, is no vice.

America,
First off I hope all of you are enjoying your Valentine’s day, because it is all about love after-all, is it not? Now, I have been debating a lot lately. Simple things like, why do I log in each day? Why do I bother recruiting people to join this game? What is fun for me? I’ve been through all walks of life in this game and I like to think of myself just as you are, a hardworking citizen aspiring for something greater. I’ve been through moments of great poverty and great wealth, all the while trying to make this more enjoyable for each and every one of us. The names of places in this game only have dignity because the places have some objective reality attached to them. There are honestly no morals to take into account. Morals are what you feel good after-they are subjective. So what makes you feel goo😛 Patriotism, religion, love?

All of these are what drive this game. Pride in one’s country, one’s sacred religion, and love for one another. We now stand at a time in which we are lost between two worlds, the world of tradition and certainty which we cannot wholly relinquish, and the exciting but uncertain new world. It is not clear-cut anymore, who can we trust? Do we abandon our friends in Eden and embrace Panam completely? Should we revert back to the past and seek stability? Should we find a middle ground? If we continue with Panam, we will need to continue supporting its members and giving them even more help. I picture it as a brotherhood, not an alliance. I have a vision of what I want this country to be, I want you to see share this vision with me, but I will need your trust. Nay, not trust. I want your love. It is with that I am declaring:

I will be seeking the office of President of the United States this March.

The gold medal repeats the pattern of the empty form. It is nothing more than pixels on my screen. The medal is not what I seek, I seek a chance to give you all what you deserve. What the president should be is an inspiring figure with fresh ideas and logical solutions to the problems plaguing the nation. I am not afraid to take a stand on the issues plaguing this country. What people think of me does not matter, what matters is that we are prospering and enjoying our time here.

On Panam:
This article has been recently brought to my attention. I would like to first thank my Greek brothers for their long history of supporting the United States in its time of need. This is why I have trouble saying this, but it must be said. This is not a peace treaty, this is a surrender. It is similiar to the RLTrearty of Versailles, and we all know how that ended. To believe Turkey and Greece will ally is as illusory of a belief as saying one can escape Dio by signing a separate peace with a pig. I find these conditions to be excessive and can only imagine how a Turk would react. The Greeks have fought valiantly against Turkey and they deserve the victory, but since we invited Turkey to join Panam, which is now our new brotherhood, this puts us now in a very awkward situation. We must now make a decision, who do we like more, Turkey or Greece? Greece has always been there for us, but Turkey can be a strong ally in the future and has common allies with us now. We must also consider that there were no elections in Turkey last month, thus alipoyraz was not elected by Turkish people. So he has no right to speak nor sign anywhere on behalf of Turkish people. Already you can see in the media many Turks outraged by this agreement and the treaty will soon be void. The Turks and Greeks will inevitably fight again, it is one of the oldest wars in eRepublik. I will not side-step over this issue if elected, if we can find common ground between the two countries it would be best but until then we have to decide who we are friends with and who we support more, a Panam member, Turkey, or our old friend Greece from our former alliance, Eden? St Krems has worked tirelessly, his efforts in Panam deserves more than just our applause, but I don’t believe surrendering a Panam member is in the best interest of anyone, especially this young brotherhood. I understand the current government of Turkey has accepted these conditions but this is merely temporary, it is a temporary solution and this problem will arise again, we will have to find a better solution.
Edit: The new president of Turkey has already called the treaty void.

I still don’t get why we’re wasps now but ok

To secure a multi-polar world, it will take a lot of diplomacy and new era of leaders in conjunction with experience. We are rapidly heading towards a bi-polar world once more. Perhaps this is inevitable, but I am prepared to make the moves necessary to exert our country's position on the international stage and safeguard our friends despite what happens.

The Inci Question
Despite what their avatars might suggest, the INCI are all people, individuals with every right to live in this country as you and me. The majority of them were born here, on American soil. Whether you like it or not, they are here, and they are not going anywhere. It is time to accept them as our equals. They are assimilating, but the language barrier is thick. It will take time, mutual compassion, and cooperation in order to fully dismantle the stereotypes and skepticism. I will be honest, I was at first highly cautious of them, during my tenure as head of the IES (the immigration department designating to deal with citizenship applications) I awaited an answer from Haliman’s administration for a clear policy on them. I waited. And waited. No response. I got to know the more by spending time and talking to them daily on #INCI.
Although Julian Mizu has suffered a tragic loss, the death of his mother, he did select a delegate, Harrison Richardson, to be a special envoy to the INCI to understand them better. I would like to thank you Mr. Richardson for your efforts thus far. But now I want you all to understand, we are all delegates. We do not need special titles to do anything in this game. Create your own position if you need to, people who are relevant are thus so because we allow them to be. Each action we commit contributes to our appearance at home and in the world. Whether it be a simple Hail Panam, or fighting for an allied country, every action we commit affects our perception abroad. This is why I ask you to believe in adaptability, unification, and open-minds. I want you all to understand who the INCI are and rid yourself of any ignorant belief you have before actually meeting them, then you can form any opinion your heart desires.

They’re on our side

The Military
The military is one of the most important institutions in this country. It receives roughly 70% of all our tax dollars and is responsible for defending our great nation and allies. There is something about our military that sets it apart from most, some may say it is the American Exceptionalism that makes it so renown, some say the community, some say its the strict discipline it promotes, whatever it is, it is doing well and I would like to congratulate all of its members on their success and accomplishment thus far. However, there is a problem with it and I know it is a very touchy issue with all of us. This problem has prolonged for far too long. Almost every president has had trouble with the CJCS/JCS in the military, some presidents have been more vocal about the problem than others. It is ridiculous that this problem persists and it seems almost childish. As of this moment, Congress is currently discussing a new amendment to the Constitution in regard to the CJCS/JCS so that the military can be more accountable and transparent. Talks are still far from finalizing, but progress is being made.
The JCS have worked hard to reach their position, but I feel some deserve it much more than others. Some are well, to put it bluntly, difficult to work with. I don’t understand why, we are all striving for the greater good of the nation, it is a two-way street and communication and reason must be emphasized at all times.
I was honorably discharged from the Training Corps, and I was a member of AGE (now the calvary) for a large period of my elife. I can tell a good leader apart from a bad one, and I want every official in this country to understand this basic fact: The people you are after are the people you depend on, we cook your meals, we haul your trash, we connect your calls, we drive your ambulances, we guard you while you sleep, Do not ---- with us.

What I’m trying to get at is this: I have a vision for this country, but this vision will have to be yours as well to succeed. Some may call me delusional for running, that I lack the proper experience or that I am ill-suited for the position. Perhaps every president before me has been delusional. I need you to love me, just like I love you-I need your full support this next presidential election to really make it happen. With that in mind, I thank you all for reading this and regardless of the outcome, I stand ready.

Is a man not entitled to dreams?
"No," says the man in Washington. "They belong to the government."
"No," says the man in Al Riyadh. "They belong to Plato."
"No," says the man in Midtjylland. "They belong EDEN."
"No," says the man in Wallstreet. "They must be bought."
