For your consideration: An Emerickan Presidency

Day 1,165, 17:59 Published in USA USA by Emerick
America,

It's been a while since I've been considered a leader in the national spotlight, but I'd like your consideration in my bid for presidency. My internet resume, while probably not longer than your arm, depending on your zoom, can be found here.

Now, what do I bring to the table that the other candidates don't? For one, loads of foreign affairs experience. I've been involved in this since before the super alliances began. I know how they start, I know where they went wrong, I know a few steps that will help us avoid that again, at least for as long as possible. I know people all around the world who share a similar ideal: an ideal for a game where a country isn't defined by what super alliance it joins, and is forced to join because of aggressions from the opposite alliance, but where an alliance is defined by it's small but strong core of countries. Where we can forcefully say to European aggressors: get out of my hemisphere.

It's more than a matter of pride though, it's all about the game experience. As we've seen, super alliances can be fun for a while, for most. For a small group, it's an enjoyable experience. A good majority of people, though, don't have a strong allegance to their super alliance, and don't feel a visceral thrill while fighting even the most staunch enemies of their country's super alliance. Super alliances, are, however, secure. To ensure a secure multipolar wold, for us, it will take a lot of posturing and diplomacy. I am prepared to make the moves necessary to jockey for our country's position on the international stage, and for Panam's.

I've been a part of Panam ever since it's current incarnation's inception, about halfway through President Hamilton's administration. From then, I've been advising our people and surveying the international landscape, looking for opportunities and avoiding mistakes from the past.

The long and short of this little piece is: I have a dream, America, and I want your help. If you elect me, I'll do my part in the international stage to bring us all a more enjoyable game.
