Flamur for President! - Part Two.
Flamur
Closer to election day I will release full and detailed plans in a couple of manifesto articles.
Here I will give a little preview of what is to come, with some of my key pledges!
-Alliances
The big issue in the eUK at the moment. I am against joining PEACE for a few reasons. This is partly because of their behavior in new countries performing frequent and devastating political takeovers, but mainly because joining them would eventually mean turning on old friends and allies, which is something I am strongly against.
For our defense I would seek to keep closer links with our current allies, and look at possibilities of negotiating our way into an alliance that is both fair and beneficial to the eUK, but neutrality is certainly not out of the question. We are big enough and ugly enough to look after ourselves, should we remain on good terms with our allies.
While alliances certainly make us feel very safe and secure, the reality is that some clever diplomacy, a good set of MPPs and our large size will ward off most potential attacks.
-Confidence
Lack of confidence always seems to be an issue with us as an eNation. This is not good enough, we are one of the best eNations and so we should be proud, not shameful. Politician after Politician repeats the mantra "No we can't.", but in the words of Barrack Obama I say "Yes we can." and we will. We can achieve anything we put our minds too, and I shall be the first step to a more positive future.
-Military Spending
Our biggest confidence issue is our military, and our soldiers frequently complain of sporadic and poor funding.
My number one promise to you is that I will devote a set percentage of our GDP to military training, pumping much needed weapons into all of our military institutions.
-Recruitment
We have been slipping down the nations rankings recently, dropping off the front page into 6th place.
it is absolutely critical that we try and do two things. Later this week I will post up plans for a comprehensive recruitment campaign, both in game and more crucially on British websites throughout the internet.
Thank you for reading and Vote Flamur!

@ Jan - We're trying to keep the releases not too long, so people that arn't that interested in politics actually get to read them. More details will be released, this was just a preview.
@ Dish - Hey, anything to please you 😉
Lol, I just couldn't resist after the first bit.
I used to think we could defend ourselves, too. But the plain fact is that we cannot.
We do horrible damage in wars. Hungary does 500k in 14 hours, 850k in 20. Our quasi-allies -- old and current -- do not do that much (Romania does half that much in the same amount of time, Sweden and the USA do far less). We can't defend against Hungary, or the USA, and not likely Sweden. Now, the USA and Sweden might be unlikely to try anything due to our supposed size (which is actually rather small when you look at active players), but Hungary is far more active and *could* absorb us with no problem.
I would love for us to stay neutral, but that's not going to be an option too much longer. A decision will be forced upon us. Hungary, with very little help from the rest of PEACE, has made short work of our former allies in eastern Europe. The USA may have improved since their utter failure in Russia two months ago, but no where near to the level of even Romania, let alone the powerhouse that is Hungary.
Not only can we not defend ourselves, but our old allies cannot realistically help defend us, either. I'm sorry, but they can't.
"Sigh.

Yeah... I think he might have been saying that ironically in order to annoy you.

@ Rayf - It was also said removing weighted lifting from Fortis was almost impossible. Or at least thats the general attitude the old MoFA team had. But it happened. And it happened only hours after our first negotiation with the eUSA.
I've seen the USA's damage capability in the past. Admittedly, they have improved, and we haven't seen it recently. It may now be on par with Romania's. Romania's capability is about half that of Hungary's. Spain, Canada, and we, the UK, combined, cannot make up the other half. Realistically, we WOULD lose. And that's assuming Hungary has no help.
I'm worried because I can see Hungary itching to get into North America, and Scotland, right now, is their path to do so. There's no way we can hold Scotland from them. None, at all. Not by ourselves. And I really don't think we can do it with Fortis's help, either. The question then becomes: will we ever get Scotland back unless we cut a deal with Hungary?
actually, bob the builder said it before obama 😉
Rayf don't be a wimp.
Since when were we a nation to be bullied?
Also being friends with USA and Hungary doesn't have to be mutually exclusive.
@ Rayf - So you're saying we should let ourselves be bullied into PEACE? There are worries, ofcourse. But they'll be addressed one way or the other.
