Finding Common Sense
Akki
In era of new great world conflict, the World War IV, Japan has been caught in unique position being strategically placed between 2 hostile nations: The United States of America and Indonesia. In the critical and difficult congress decision, the Nation of Japan decided to go along with its allies in PEACE Global community and our allies in China and Indonesia to take the side which was most appealing and less devastating of the two options in the late night discussion to decide the lesser evils of the two Japan was boarders by. However, Japan was no winner from such situation. The nation of Japan now has split into two trying to improve the nation by trying to push forward their agenda, and ridiculing each other in what seems now as a mud wrestling competition to see who can throw each other into the mud the best.
However, to ordinary citizens, it should look clear and should be a common sense to them that neither side is in fact improving the nation like they claim and neither side is creating the “righteous nation” that they use to back their argument. Their plan and argument is so “righteous” that one side call for blind following of the government or placing military above all other priority to create army capable of “fending off our enemies.” Yet another side calls for the betrayal of our entire past friend that we have created; friends that has once helped us against PTO attempt from Mafia, and to serve as the dog or a maiden to the other power which is fueling the World War: in other words, they suggest us to become the pawns of the other power.
In such situation, we are lacking any middle ground to this problem and both sides are pushing their extreme agenda to agitate the other side. I question all citizens who are currently engaged in this argument or those who have not taken side, how we can improve the nation by splintering into two hostile camps pushing for their extremes while ignoring all the middle ground? A nation cannot balance and continue on the right pass if each side is trying to place more weight on their side than the other side. Unless some compromise or some middle ground is found, there is no way for our nation to neither continue nor pursue the “righteousness” which both sides strive for. A campaign against each other can only do damage to our nation. While I do not suggest it is wrong to voice your opinion, finding faults at each other’s argument only create more tension and NO solution.
Instead of finding fault in each other, we need to find solution. Instead of lamenting about the problem, we need to solve the problem. Arguing who is responsible for the problem only delays and deepens the problem we already have. What good will it does to argue about the problem when neither side offers solution to the problems we are facing right now? There are those who will defend the current government; that is something to be understood. However, they must accept that there are indeed problems, and they require solutions. They must (with their pro-government friends) present their solution to the problem first, before slashing against those who do not agree with them. Also, it is something to be understood that there are those who disagrees with the current government. That is fine, since that is how a democracy works. However they must still accept the fact that there are those on the other side that is doing their job to protect our nation, and trying to fix those problems. There must be some respect that must be given to those who are working, for they are doing their job whether you agree with them or not. Destructive criticism does nothing to help the nation other than to help it break apart. They must instead voice their belief of the solution, and present their side of the argument with a reason why it will work better than the current government plan. This way at least something constructive is being made from the argument and disagreement: a common ground to the problem. At least this way, although neither side will be 100% satisfied, you are helping the nation improve.
What I ask is compromise between two groups that are creating tension in Japan that is neither improving the nation, nor helping it become more “righteous.” We must all accept that neither side is 100% correct, nor has complete support within eJapan. I am not saying to completely support your government nor trust it for that is simply ridiculous. Government itself is corrupt, frail and force that interferes with the daily lives of the citizens within its borders. It is only natural that with increase of the government powers, there will be increase in mistrust which will originate from the potential power that government could hold over each citizen. That is natural reaction with dealing with something that has more power, and more control over you. However, even in such situation, we must not forget that there are people who are working within it to try to make our country better, and improve each citizen’s life, while trying to create safe land for our citizens to live on. We must give some respect to those who are doing their job for what they feel is right even when we do not agree with them; that still does not change the fact that they are doing their best.
I do not feel it is possible to create total unity, nor create total subjugation of the citizens under the government. However, both side must understand, that our country cannot survive, when our citizens and our congressmen are spread apart thin into many degree of extremism to push their self interest believing they are 100% right. Perhaps such promotion of extremism may bring short lived fame; nevertheless it will not help the nation progress in the long run. We must be working toward long term improvement of our nation, and we must understand there will be some short set back during sometimes, when we are faced under the force that we cannot control. However, if we panic over such small set back every time it happens and break apart into two hostile camps ridiculing each other, our nation can get nowhere in the long run. We must not allow worse part of us gain control of us. There must be some degree of toleration by each person to progress into direction that could satisfy the needs of the mass.
It is impossible to create a system that is perfect when we are imperfect to begin with. Let us not strive to create a perfect system instantly. Rather, let us improve what we have now to try to approach that perfect system. We cannot change what has happened in the past. That is already a done deed. We must learn from the past, and continue on to the future. We cannot bring all the changes we want to bring instantly, thus let us look forward to long term stability and long term improvements to preserve what we have from the past and slowly curve it and improve it to progress the nation. We should not be aiming for uncontrolled sudden changes. We should look for controlled long term change that will be stable and allow our country to progress slowly but surely. We must drop our bickering, bring both side’s solution and argument into the table and start making some compromise to find some common grounds. We all love this country and would like to help progress and improve it; that is common sense. So instead of stopping now, let us try to conserve our past and progress into our future.
So both sides please just drop the hostile destructive criticism and start bringing solutions and constructive criticism into the nation, and regain our common sense.

it is common sense that u love me
Nice article.
I will fix you a media mogul medal within the next 2 hours.
Cheers
This is a good read...
I can't help but agree with most if not all of what is written there.
Voted.
Agreed with the most of it,
Its really that we need real discussions not just throving stupid offensive articles around, like Reiji did. We should really avoid that type of political enviroment. Its good for nothing, just to gain temporary power, and maybe some attention, but it will never improve the nation as a whole.
Jack, it is hypocritical to say that you want to avoid that type of thing and thing call out Reiji by name. If you want to stop this, then it has to start with each of us as individuals. You need to personally stop doing it before you can admonish others for it.
I also have to agree with Ryuu there.
A strong, independent Japan is what we all should be fighting for!
"and thing call out..." I need to start sleeping more, or proofreading my comments instead of just my articles. "and THEN call out" is what I meant to say.
This is WW3 Akki
FIRE ME FROM HOSPITAL COMPANY GUYS !!
OR TELL SOMEONE TAHT CAN FIRE ME !
Such a painful backhand. "We must not sling mud...
..like this one man did!"
As I wipe the mud from my face, I must turn around and thank Akki for his wisdom. We are all working in search of the Righteous Nation. However, I must politely disagree with the Congressman in his suggestion that all government is inherently corrupt. Also his logical flaw in suggesting that government can simultaneously be forceful and frail. Our government is not at all corrupt and I challenge the Congressman to produce even one piece of evidence to suggest that it might be.
The Righteous Government governs the Righteous Nation. And by this good government we shall establish Heaven's Peace.
Akki-san,
I appreciate the call for moderation. However, I do not think it is anything approaching "common sense" to call refusal to go along with treachery a "betrayal."
Naturally in time the truth will out. Until then, I shall work to promote the national integrity.
Akki-san... bravo. A message well done. My thoughts are the same as yours.
My hope is that people who do read your article to not focus on the minor parts such as "whether extremism is good or bad" or on words such as "corrupt or betrayal".
We should focus and absorb the MAIN message in your article which is,
"Finding faults at each other’s argument only create more tension and NO solution.
Instead of finding fault in each other, we need to find solution. Instead of lamenting about the problem, we need to solve the problem. Arguing who is responsible for the problem only delays and deepens the problem we already have. What good will it does to argue about the problem when neither side offers solution to the problems we are facing right now?
Both sides should drop the hostile destructive criticism and start bringing solutions and constructive criticism into the nation, and regain our common sense."
Argument: a discussion in which reasons are advanced for and against some proposition or proposal
Argument is not the problem, it is simply the catalyst of change. Change is a necessary step in improvement, thus argument is a necessary step.
While I disagree with some of Akki's statements (i.e. inherently corrupt government; find fault in other's arguments is bad), I agree that compromise, tolerance, learning from our past, and controlled progress are important for our future. I urge others to reflect on this, be mindful of the very blurry line that separates arguments (progress) from disruptive quarreling.
We may learn from some of the wisdom of Akki-san, though he too should heed the wisdom of his fellows.
A political ruling class that does not challenge each other from time to time often gives way to "groupthink," a condition where new ideas are not generated and stagnation occurs.
eJapan is lucky that we do not really have feuding parties, and that our political leadership truly operates "with malice towards none." But we must also acknowledge that our humble ways of doing things in the past has not prepared us for the tumultuous future that lies ahead, and change in the way we do things must come...
Voted, subscribed (when you were president of eJapan), now hoping for Friendship.
Great article Akki but I disagree with a lot of it. For one only a few rule Japan an rule it with a iron grip nobody else has a chance to make a change. New people and new ideas. People of Japan everything is controlled by a few and this needs to stop. How are we benefitting ? We need change or Japan will be in ruin. Our parties and our cabinet is run by the same people.
I am tired of it personally because other ideas that dont match the the norm are brushed aside as crazy and rebels. We dont need radical liberals or commusnits but a strong solid government. People are leaving and only a few see the dangers of it. I also have to say why is helping PEACE a bad thing we are a member of PEACE. So we do everything for our alliance.
There isnt a choice between 2 lesser of evils but a choice between a foe and a friend. We need to fight Japan and take power into our hands. If you join in this idea in game PM me I need support.
Yes two sides are flinging mud, but your slightly wrong. There has always been an in-between. There are many of us who know that the choice we made was not good and it didn't help Japan out, we believe that it was a 'lose-lose' situation. It is more neutral, we tried to pick the option that would not tear up Japan. I'm sure we have done this. Even though people fight, it will end. Anger is something that has a cause and only the person can know how to control it, I trust that the citizens can put their anger aside and accept our decision.
Yes I have argued against people, but that is mainly because I am government and they are wrong about our intentions. The current Government is not out to hurt the country, our past proves that we are loyal to our country.
As I said before, I think people are taking it way too far. Emotion is the one thing about the situation that you can control, please control it. It is nothing like citizens are portraying, and it is nothing to be furious over.
I agree with Deej on one thing, picking PEACE over USA. We have definitely guaranteed ourselves that PEACE will be by our side, especially if I am the one to approach them. We have an past ally that will now stick by our side.
USA has been fighting against PEACE and trying to destroy PEACE countries for a long time, and it is our duty as well to help them counter these situations. Just because there initial reasons were not pure, does not mean that it cannot be justified.
As I have said before, I am neutral and I understand the complaints. There is an in-between which citizens are too stubborn to understand and listen to. Open your eyes and your heart, you may find something new.
I feel that Akki has grossly exaggerated the discontent among the people. There have not been public protests, rebellions, coups, or motions to impeach. There have been many heated discussions, but I doubt that the participants were completely ignorant of each other; empathy is not limited to the ruling elite.
Miyagi Kesuke made the best contribution, in my opinion, in stating that dissent, argument, and exchange are also measures of progress - and potentially, growth. Just as it is futile to change the past, so too is the belief that change can happen with constructive criticism alone. Greed, passion, ambition, hope, and opportunity can all lead to change.
We appreciate and feel compelled to help our friends and allies, but I once again I ask you this; if PEACE was a friend as you say, they would have understood and accepted our refusal to participate. If they respected eJapan at all as a righteous nation and the values held dear by the citizens of this country they would have let us be, without threats, and find another avenue to pursue their ambitions. By grudgingly accepting the proposal despite our doubts, we as a nation have unknowingly become accomplices, willing or not.
That is the reality before us. That is what we are all reflecting on, and in the process, growing.
I have no idea what you just said.
Anyway,
Hi?
There comes a time when the high road has too high of a body count and a middle road must be taken. Rather than looking back at the high road not taken and pointing fingers, I personally prefer to see the government strategize how to get back the nation back on (or closer to) that road as soon as possible. After all, it's a slippery slope and we wouldn't want to end up on a lower road because we were busy shoving and kicking each other over the road not taken.
Well I agree with Tanaka Fujimori there. That's exactly how I feel.
What senseless talk!!
eUSA used to be your freind!!!
Terriable thing that jolly good old Richie450 died
he would have gotten a good kick of this!
