Final Serbian Region in Southeast Asia Comes Under USA Attack, Day 1079

Day 1,079, 14:20 Published in USA USA by Lieutenant Scheisskopf

As the fight in Southeast Asia kicks into high gear, the stakes have been raised on Day 1079. Although a first invasion of eIndonesia’s native regions was repelled, fellow Phoenix ally eSerbia’s presence in SE Asia is endangered by an eUSA assault. Meanwhile, eCanada has had slow and steady success in the UK, while eEstonia has regained its regions in a struggle with eFinland.

Indonesia Repels Initial USA Invasion
Shortly after the eUSA defended its positions in Southern Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia from an eIndonesian attack, the eUSA moved on eIndonesia’s mainland for the first time, attacking Sumatra and Kalimantan at 14:10 and 14:11 eRep time on Day 1078. eIndonesia easily beat back this first attack and rose to the challenge of having its native regions targeted. The Phoenix island nation took to the offensive once more against the eUSA in attacking the natively eMalaysian region of Sarawak early in Day 1079. This high-stone region has been under the eIndonesian flag before and may be once again, as eUSA orders and priorities are firmly fixated on another target and seem intent on avoiding damage being focused on this battle.

Despite eIndonesia’s attack, the eUSA Gorilla-in-Chief has commanded focus on Sabah (circled)

USA Attacks Sabah, Threatens Serbian Presence in Asia
The battle taking the eUSA’s attention is that for Sabah, which eSerbia originally conquered from eMalaysia on Day 1078, to stave off its elimination from Southeast Asia as the eUSA overran the eSerbian-occupied Sarawak shortly after server reset on Day 1078. eUSA President Colin Lantrip stated early on that eliminating eSerbia from Southeast Asia was his priority, and the eUSA’s storming of Sabah could be complete as early as 21:13 on Day 1079. eIndonesia’s actions in Sarawak are intended to divert the eUSA and keep eSerbia alive, but their efforts seem to be coming up short. The result is that eSerbia, who has grown strong with its possession of Asian territories which took months to obtain, will be confined to its native European regions. eSerbia is anticipating the loss by relaxing its import taxes and hoping to keep its economy afloat despite losing control of some valuable resource regions.

eCanada’s flag is slowly encroaching on where the Union Jack flies

Canada Advances in UK
The eCanadians have continued slow progress against the eUK and succesfully conquered Yorkshire & Humberside in Day 1079. Whether this front intensifies will likely hinge on changes in SE Asia, which has dominated international focus.

Estonia Liberates Regions from Finland
A front which has received minimal coverage concerns eFinland’s war with eEstonia, and the eFinnish quest for high grain. While eFinland enjoys a size and population advantage in direct fights, eEstonia has retaken much of its territory, including Pohja Eesti, via resistance wars (RW) which often receive Phoenix aid. This front does not attract much more international attention, but if EDEN members got involved, it could have an impact on operations in other parts of the world.

The Last Word
The removal of eSerbia from Asia is a setback for Phoenix and for eSerbia in particular, but will not be an insurmountable loss; eSerbia is clearly preparing for contingencies and may surprise people. However, the focus would turn for the eUSA on eIndonesia, who may be in trouble without an ally in the region to support them. It remains to be seen how this front will progress, and if others may come to overshadow the tensions in SE Asia in the days ahead.

God Bless America,
