My brothers and sisters, workers in arms,
I am sure many of you wonder what my platform is in my running for the seat of Victoria. As many of you who have read my profile will have noticed, I am a member of the Communist party of Australia. So, what does this all entail? It simply means that my main objective is freedom and more direct democracy.
Now, without further ado, here are my core principles and projects for this prospective term;
-Direct Democracy-
I will work to make, as much as is possible; army officers to be elected by their soldiers, Minister of Defence to be elected by all soldiers in all military branches, and communes where the GM is chosen by the workers. Thus leading to a more democratic, PEOPLE's government/way of life that will ensure happiness with the government, as after all, the PEOPLE have chosen. This definitely means that all the other parties will be more than able to have their say and will most certainly play a big part in our new found freedom.
-Communes or National Planned Economy-
This means that the groundwork will be laid out to create nation owned companies in every industry in all Q levels. Workers will be paid nearly nothing, but for their work, they will receive food and a house in order to sustain high levels of health. I understand that in this game we cannot outlaw all private industries, but we will certainly be willing to take the hard and harsh steps (such as boycotts etc.) to make sure that they treat the comrade workers fairly.
-NZ Conundrum-
My position is simple; with the support and free votes of all Kiwi's, we ought to annex their nation to protect them from a political takeover. Then in the following month, release all the regions back to them, unless the New Zealanders enjoy the great ANZAC nation we have created by then
-eIndonesian Feelings-
In these times, it is important to address the issue of our closest neighbour, Indonesia. I propose that we become much more friendly than we already are and develop a close regional alliance, which I will explain in the next point. Insistence is the main key to gain our regions back and I can assure you that you will at least see one region back by the end of my term. There shall be no backing down, as all Australia deserves to be free of foreign regnancy and to remain Australian. However, this can only take place by peaceful diplomatic and economic intercourse.
-Regional Alliance SEA-
My sentiments are well know in the ACP forums, but now you must know and decide for yourself. I hasten to say that this does not mean that we should cut off all our western friends, it simply means that we would have more dealings with those in our sphere of influence. The South East Alliance would be regional only and prospectively consist of Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. In no ways should SEA be aligned with either PEACE or ATLANTIS, we should stay to ourselves and be dedicated to defending our district of this beautiful eWorld. This would mean that I and others would lead a proposal to re-instate trade agreements into the game by the admins to further these aims. Oh, and just for something cool, we could call our combined military something like WAVE, CYCLONE, or something radical like that; I will run a competition with prizes for a name to be chosen whose acronyms make up something awesome.
Well, now you have my point of view, think upon what I have said during this election and vote well for the rosy future of our wonderful land, AUSTRALIA!

I give it my full endorsement and I will reject policies if the majority disagrees, just to show I don't tow a party line. I am only here to honestly represent the workers who are suffering and to end exploitation. So, pm me if you any have requests or problems and I will do my best to help you or forward you onto someone who can solve them.

Is it just me, or does that seem contradictory?
No, maybe my wording mislead you. Any policies that the ACP would request that I support, if the majority of people (democracy) don't support the idea, I also will not. Hence, the reason the ACP is libertarian and devoted to direct democracy.

@ Leon, do u mean the civil majority or the senatorial majority? the civilian majority wont see the proposals most of the time and if ur voting with the senate majority then ur not really unique and just following the pack. 😛
Civilian majority, Br0ad. My intentions are to summarise proposals and then gain their opinions. Then the majority win. As I said before, with a representative democracy, this is the best way to implement the public opinion.
Oh, and thanks for the approval of the name. It's been in the offing for a little while and I have spoken to some influential people in Indonesia, so it might be possible. Anyhow, I reckon regional alliances are better than any worldwide cold-war type imperialist alliance empires.

just a statement about your direct democracy, getting a vote on everything in this game will be quite lengthy and will cause delays. You need people who are knowledgeable and brave enough to make the tough decisions at time rather then always take it to a vote. Remember, these leaders are usually nominated anyway through the erep system, so having a vote on everything kinda relinquishes their role. Which is a good and a bad thing 😉
oh by the way leon i already have the same idea on the senate at the moment (regional alliance) 🙂 however its not getting much attention, if you do get on board, ill be glad to help you out, if I am re-elected or not 😛
