Day 1,103, 03:12 Published in South Africa Netherlands by Fhaemita The Apostate

Introduction

Hello again my fellow South African citizens, This upcoming country president elections of December 2010, I Fhaemita Malodorous will be running for president again this month. This will be my second try and hopefully this time it will be successful. Last month I tried for the first time to run for president but lost the forum preliminary vote from Mark Morcom, but I still had more votes then the other candidates that where running for president. I am hoping for a better result this month and I hope I will be given the chance to become the president of eSouth-Africa and help this country true the difficult times that we are going true. I think I would make a good president, as would ofcourse the other candidates be. I hope with my experience in both politics and in military and a good manifest with clear points what I want for this country I hope to bring my point across and hopefully let people see that I want for this country. South Africa is in my opinion, although I might not be objective one of the greatest countries in erepublik.

Stances

Domestic Affairs

The country is in shambles with the still ongoing political takeover by the Hungarians holding the majority of congress and the presidency. This situations limit the control that we have over our own country and also limits what we can do. Although we have limited control there is still a lot we can do, and it is important for the government to communicate about the situation, what is going on and what they are working on as far as it can made public. The citizens do need to feel that their government isn't sitting on their behinds doing nothing. A transparent government will help against citizens getting disgruntled by the country being PTO'ed and not seeing anything happening against it and then and leaving the country.

Social Affairs & Education

One of the biggest assets in our country is not our army, not the companies, not the titanium that is so very important in erepublik but the people of South Africa, the community. It is the community of South Africa that makes it all worth it. The community is something we should cherish, it should be something that we need to keep in tact. We need to educate our citizens and keep the citizens happy. Educating our citizens goes ofcourse for our new citizens but I think also citizens who have been around for a while can still learn. Mentors are very important in teaching new citizens how the game works and getting them involved so they wont quit the game. A well educated citizens might be a future country president. The department of fun is important to keep our citizens happy with fun stuff like games to keep our citizens occupied and interested.

Foreign Affairs

South Africa after leaving the alliance Sol in march 2010 never joined another alliance although in the months between the previous PTO where we where wiped off the map by Brazil and Argentina and this PTO by the Hungarians we where looking to become a member of the Brolliance but before that was arranged we where PTO'ed by the Hungarians. We are not part of any alliance, although we have strong ties with Brolliance and also with EDEN countries who we consider allies. It is important to keep the lines of communication between friendly countries and us open. Also we should not be scared to keep the lines of communication open with less friendly countries. We need to keep our friends close and our enemies even closer. This month as minister of foreign affairs I prioritized our embassy and send ambassadors to both friendly and unfriendly countries.

Financial & Economical Affairs

Wages are booming again in eSouth Africa, a level 10 work still (Guru😉 for instance earns 31 ZAR and even a level 1 (apprentice) work skilled laborer earns more then 13 ZAR a day. This is ofcourse good for the workers of eSouth Africa but hard for companies to make a decent profit. One of two things will happen or the wages will go down or if the wages stays this high companies will close and this means less jobs for our citizens. Another problems is that with the Hungarian PTO'ers having the majority of congress that all the income from taxes for instance are moved to a Hungarian organization and from there donated to other Hungarians. The real South African government does not have a income and are on a tight budget. We do need to find ways to get some sort of stable revenue. Also I hope to make it a point to promote South African companies true Proudly South African organization to get the people who are in South Africa to work for South African companies.

Military Affairs

Currently the eSouth African Armed Forces are forced to move to other countries as in South Africa
with only a MPP with Hungary they would be able to fight for our enemies the Hungarians. It is important for our soldiers are able to fight and earn experience and medals because it would not be useless to have a army who where not able to fight. Our brave soldiers are fighting for our allies in Romania and other fronts helping our Eden and Broliance friends. Our army might not be as big as some armies from bigger countries but we can still do quit some damage and make a difference in a fight. It is important for the eSAAF to keep recruiting and to recruit both South Africans and people from friendly countries for our army. Although we cannot force people to join the eSAAF it is appreciated if a citizen does his civic duties as a true South African citizen.

Security & Immigration

In security and immigration there is not that much that we can do as we are outnumbers both in congresss and in numbers of citizens. The Hungarians have 32 seats and we only have 8 of the 40 seats in congress. This means the number of citizenships we can give is very limited and that the Hungarians are also able to give more citizens then us and that their numbers will grow even more. This mean that we will never outnumber them and that it will be harder and harder to get the presidency and to get a decent number of congress seats. Although it does not look good it wont deter us from keep trying every elections and use the citizenships that we have and give them to people who will stay here for multiple months and help us in our ATO efforts.

Miscellaneous

Population Development

South Africa is a small country with a small number of citizens. We have a lot of companies, especially in titanium as South Africa is one of the few countries with a Titanium high regions, and our wages are pretty high. Although that is the case, not enough new people are willing to move to our great nation of South Africa. Previous attempts that were made by the Minister of Tourism were not as successful as we hoped. I therefore think that we should not look in the game for new South Africans but outside the game in Real Life. We need to attract South Africans to come and play erepublik. A good way is “advertise” on forums for erepublik, big busy forums to make people aware of erepublik as well as the use new media like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube etc. A new position in government the director of Population Development who will work under the ministry of Domestic Affairs will actively work on attracting more people and hopefully a baby boom.

Community

I am a firm believer in Liberté, égalité, fraternité (Freedom, Equality and brotherhood). Everybody in South Africa is free, free to do or stand where he or she wants to stand, believe what he or she wants to believe and say what that person wants to say as long as it's not hurtful or offensive in any way to somebody else. Everybody is equal. Nobody is less just because he is a lower level, has less experience or any thing else. We need to to stick up for each other, we are all brothers, we all want what is best for our country. Sometimes this means setting our own pride and ego aside and doing what is best for our country and not what is best for our self.

Cabinet

I have some ideas for a cabinet that is a bit different from the cabinet that we had in previous months. There is one new ministry that has taken the place of the ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Information and also the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been disbanded. Most of the ministries will become director positions or the responsibility will be given to another ministry. There will be one new minister, the Minister of Liberation Negotiations. The position of the president is a very hard one that takes up a lot of the presidents time. I want to take a more hands-off approach with my presidency compared to previous presidents meaning that I want to delegate a lot of the tasks to ministers and my vice president. Many of the people who have held a minister’s positions for multiple months are more then capable of this responsibility. A president does not have to do everything on his own.

Vice President

In most cabinets in eSouth Africa, the vice president has been a job without a exact job and was dependent on how much the president delegated to the vice president as everybody went to the president for everything. My plan for the vice president is that except for being the vice president, he is also the president of the council of ministers. This basically means that is the chief minister and all the ministers report to him as well as coming to him with problems they might have. He also takes over the task that was done by the minister of internal affairs to, check up on the ministries and make progress reports of the ministries.

Ministry of Domestic Affairs

This is a new ministry that will combine the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Information. This is a big ministry and will have two deputy ministers, the Deputy Minister for Social Development and the Deputy Minister for Information & Population. Those two deputy ministers will have the responsibility for the directors under them including the Director of Population Development, Director of Information and the Director of Wiki and all the other directors that previous where part of the ministry of Social Development.

Minister of Liberation Negotiations

This is not a new position, this position was created in September 2009 and was also part of the cabinet of October 2009 and both months was held by Ines Schumacher. Grimstone has been working very hard to get our country back during last 2,5 months and has all the contacts as well as knowing the people who need to be contacted. If I would take over, it would take me a while to for know who is who etc. So he will continue his efforts to get our country free from the Hungarians. This position will be taken by Grimstone and he will work together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and I in our efforts to regain our country.

Why vote for me

This is my vision for the great ecountry of eSouth Africa, a clear vision what we should do and what where to go. I hope this will clarify what I would like to do with this country and what I stand for. I hope that you, the true citizens of South Africa, deem me good enough to be your president and will vote for me in the elections. For now two candidates Joseph Rich and Nick Jones have both made themself candidate for the presidency and altough they are excellent citizens of South Africa personally I due think they both lack experience for being the president of this country. Joseph Rich has only been deputy minister of social affairs once, and been director of fun three times and thus being in cabinet only once lacking experience and insight in the running of the government as he has only been deputy minister three times. Nick Jones altough more experienced then Joseph Rich still lacks experience in my humble opionion. He hasn't been a part of government the last two cabinets and it would take him a lot of time to get up to speed with what is going on.I think their lack of knowledge shows is the lack content in both their manifest. A manifest of only 4 lines of text clearly lacks a vision of what they wants or what they think needs to be done.

"The universe speaks in many languages, but only one voice. The language is not Afrikaans or Zulu or Xhosa or Northern Sotho or Tswana or Sotho or English. It speaks in the language of hope; it speaks in the language of trust; it speaks in the language of strength, in the language of compassion. It is the language of the heart and the language of the soul. And always it is the same voice. It is the voice of our ancestors speaking through us and the voice of our inheritors waiting to be born. It is the small still voice that says, 'we are one'. No matter the blood, no matter the skin, no matter the world, no matter the star. We are one! No matter the pain, no matter the darkness, no matter the loss, no matter the fear. We are one, here, gathered together in common cause. We agree to recognize this singular truth, and this singular rule: that we must be kind to one another, because each voice enriches us and enables us. And each voice lost diminishes us. We are the voice of the universe, the soul of creation, the fire that will light the way to a better future. We are one. We are one."
