Few words in these dark times

Spain lost both Rhone Alps and Aquitaine, Lion King remains Serbian. Soon ereptools and other sources will provide us with battle statistics, as always - that's the moment a second war begins. Trolling in shouts, comments and articles, on chats and irc channels - it's inevitable. Do not despair, EDEN. It's OK that we lost as long as we can properly express our feelings. Here's a quick guide how to cope with our terrible loss, limited to most accurate phrases and/or responses:




Fail/Epic Fail

If you want to minimize or maximize the outcome. It's classic, universal and unorthodox - but also indistinctive as fail happens. There's nothing spectacular about failure, even if it's an epic one - as long as there's a war, there's always gonna be fail and success. Every day in eRepublik brings us a handful of fails(admins generously contribute).





Facepalm

Now that's a noble and remarkable gesture. It requires not words, but empathy; gentleman's way of handling Le Fail. Use it if you're above level 20. Remember that facepalm was frequently applied by Captain Jean-Luc Picard, which made him captain and commander of USS Enterprise. No cool story, pure truth.






Weltschmerz

German invention, means literally Pain of the world. Weltschmerz is an extreme, Tokyo Hotel-level version of emo...much more sophisticated, however. It's also almost completely unpronounceable. Some people claim that's just another word for Internet, which is full of fails, rage and trolling in general. Perfect choice if you want to seem well-read or simply obscure. Or German.





Butthurt

Acknowledgement of beaten ass. Risky. Also, it indicates that experienced failure caused some physical damage, where pain serves as a reminder. Plain display of weakness, if you ask me. Although it's a temporary state, you still have to tend to your sore butt. Even Q5 Hospital won't fix this.





RAGE

Show of strenght. Rage is the only positive emotion which can be triggered by such fail. It's motivating and it's manly. Note: beating the shit out of your keyboard does NOT qualify as rage, it's a waste of resources necessary for its escalation. The most beautiful thing about rage is that it leads to another war and therefore, revenge. Or another fail. But then, just rage again to the bitter end.

Homer Simpson is a fine choice; to be honest however, he would do much better than our current EDEN HQ. Maybe even as good as his brother Hank.
