Dear citizens,

As an evil president has Stolen changed the password of the NBB-BNB account, I had to delay my report of the last month result of the accounting.

I will begin with what is really interesting, the accounting result.

As you can see, there is a big hole in the treasury, but this allowed us to fight the Frenchs and to keep a high value of the BEF (even if it has going down nowadays). I think that the next month we will begin to rise again our reserves, specially if the revolution continue.

I will continue the stabilisation of the MM at the current exchange rate level to maintain the belgian way of life. With the current restraint congres, I will avoid important changes as it would not represent the majority of the country and so I will act less in other ways than what I did last month. But of course I will remain active and if any information about the economy is required, I will provide it in the shortest possible term.

And of course, I will continue to update the balance sheet so that everyone can remain informed of the situation of the state finances.

My life as a Minister of Economy


I will just make a short "report", which will just be a list of what I've done during this month, so that doesn't take 300 lines:

- During the three first weeks of my mandate I kept the belgian exchange rate at a fixed level. Due to the huge cost it had on the country (we spent 200 gold on it last week), I have decided to lower the exchange rate which is for now 1 gold= 80 BEF and will be highered soon if the cost rise.
- I have proposed a communist-like economical project, which has not given further debates mainly due to the French War and the fact that it is probably too radical (so only in case of major financial crisis, which is avoided for now)
- A draw of the daily war cost that was planned to be submitted to France has been calculated (but has barely be used for the negociations)
- I have settled an accounting daily-updated sheet here.
so that everyone can see how the money is spent and in a will of transparency
- I have also created a donation drack excel sheet to see which congressmen has donated their 5 gold
- I have worked on the gold expenditure of the War for wallonia that cost us 180 gold (help of State companies stock and such)
- I have submitted some other few proposals to the congress
- I have checked that the state companies had always got raw (even if I failed once) and cash to be able to pay the currently working citizens there
- I have settled a 5 BEF job offer for every skill so that every citizen could be certain to earn the minimum wage if they were looking for a job
- As the economical state of the country is not brilliant I must admit that I have not much directly on the State Company, but I think that for now the market is already overflooded with products and that the state concurrency should be avoided
- I have discussed a little bit with the MoD of the commune project for the army

I have not been very active, as there are 2 days a week when I can't connect on IRC but just read the forum, but I think that was enough to fulfill my duties.I may have forgottent one or two minor things also 😁.

I may have made some mistakes in the early days due to my lack of knowledge of the constitution (because I think there should not be one 😁) and a small neglecting of the congress, and I apologize for that. I hoped that it got fixed later.
