Farewell, Feds

From the day I joined, the Federalist Party is the only political party that I've ever known in this game. However, today I will be leaving indefinitely.



I can still remember my first day with the Feds in IRC. It was there where I first met Stewy, Neron, Ishamael, and a few others. Stewy sent me 1 gold to help upgrade my town center, which seemed like a lot to me at the time. They also recruited me to EZC, as opposed to the American Eagle Divison, where I had spent my first two days blissfully unaware of that whole situation.



The Federalist Party at this time did not have an abundance of active noobs(which may or may not've had something to do with everyone hating Oblige then). I was pretty enthusiastic about the game, active in irc, and had expressed interested in eventually getting a party job. At first I wanted to revive the party's IRC game nights,party because it was a more unofficial low responsibility job. I did a few decent nights, but then I couldn't get RvR to come around and there was some breakdown with IRC-savvy people I know around the internet, so I couldn't get the games I wanted. Although, I did get to do a poker night more recently with the help of a certain ex-Fed. I was never directly asked by anyone to keep doing them, but it was mostly a failed attempt.

It was then around after about a month in that I was approached by Greene12 during his time as PP. He needed someone to fill the lead spot for the FOP. I told him I couldn't do it because of RL obligations, and the job went to BigCDizzle. He did a good job as leader, and would eventually go on to be party president.



When I got back into the game I took a regular job with FOP and also spent some time at FBI. It was during these times that the Feds began to slip, and were in danger of becoming a 6th party. Those who were active at the time did the best to try to keep the party afloat. I had also hoped to run for congress, but felt I was still too young and had left that for older party members.

I wasn't here much when it happened, but as the party was reaching the bottom, then came the return of fingerguns. Being who she was, she was the catalyst that led to the Feds that we see today. Regardless of how the party was doing,it had been my plan to get back into doing jobs and trying to write articles. However, I currently seem to lack the inspiration to do that as much as some of our newer members, and I don't feel as if I can progress with the Feds anymore in this current situation. This game's never really been what I originally expected from it in the first place.



There's might be a bit more that could be said, but this article is long enough already. I may join the Feds again later, try some 6th party or WTP, or do something else entirely. I'm still grateful to the members Feds(which are too many to name), and hope not to leave on poor terms.
