FAQ | Operation Kimchi, Citizenship, Other Technicalities

Day 645, 07:20 Published in Philippines Philippines by Swagger McSwag
Inspired by a conversation between myself and Philippine Congress Speaker Nikko_33.

What is Operation Kimchi?

Operation Kimchi is the name given by the Armed Forces of the Philippines to the efforts of international alliances, such as Sol (us), and other countries to send voters to newly liberated South Korea to help the their government avert a political takeover (PTO).

Who tried to PTO South Korea?

The "Theocrats", followers of Dio Brando, the revered "god-emperor" of Pakistan. He's no longer active. For more info about Dio Brando, the Dioists and the Theocrats, click here.

Did they succeed?

Yes. The Theocratic eSK Party won 60% of Congress seats. I hope it doesn't turn into a Guru Varnish episode for them.

How did the Philippine Navy and/or Marines help in the PTO? What about their citizenship? Could they have voted in SK even if they were Filipinos?

Yes. Prior to yesterday's elections, SK had no Congress to approve citizenship requests, so all people moving there automatically received Korean citizenship. That goes for all countries without a Congress. Our newly elected Congress will have to make sure that each and everyone of them gets their Filipino citizenship back.

What if they already voted in the Philippines before the moved to Korea?

If they voted in the Philippines, then voted in South Korea, their vote here will disappear.

I am a Congress Member/running for Congress and I was ordered to go to South Korea. What should I do?

Don't go to Korea. Only the Navy and/or the Marines were ordered to Korea. If you are a Congress Member, a Congress candidate or General Manager, you are NOT supposed to be in the Navy or the Marines. If you are, request your commanding officer to transfer you to the Army or the Special Operations Commmand.

Did SK ask our help?

Yes. They were asking everybody.

Do you like kimchi?

I haven't tried it yet. It smells funny, though.

-Ariel, Philippine President
