Experience > Youth

Day 616, 16:35 Published in Ireland Ireland by Starks Hayter

Today, experience has triumphed over youth. You are bigger fools than I currently think if you vote a citizen as young as me to the Presidential chair once more.

So where did it go wrong, Starks?

- Bad Cabinet: That put me on the back foot at once. It was far too large, and half of its members were inactive at some point during the term. Subsequent events stopped me from reforming the cabinet.

- War: The war took up all of my time when it started. Most of the work was behind the scenes, so people thought I wasn't working

- A One Day Absence: Somehow, one day of announced absence was turned into a week or more of absence by people in the media. They were the usual noise makers, so I was delayed in my actions in putting fears that I had deserted the country to rest.

- Forums: When I attempted to rectify my previous mistakes, the forums went down.

- Ambition: My promises were too ambitious, but my campaigns were lies in themselves. I advocated meritocracy when I was not the best candidate. I advocated to abolish party politics when I only ran for the ISRP.

One promise from my manifestos I intend to keep would be accountability. I met these challenges, and I did not rise to them. Therefore, I am not fit for office, and never was.

You're doing this to keep your seat, right Starks?

Nope, I implore you to vote yes, as I did. People are probably pretty confused, so I thought I'd answer some questions.

You messed up the ISRP, you know that don't you?

I apologise sincerely to the party.

So, what now, Starks?

I'm fading to the obscurity of three clicks a day, and will occasionally read the news. I'll be happy to return mail. I might return at some point, maybe not.

As for my successor, I hope you like working in a thankless job with children.

I have lost my faith in this country, and it's people. It is an angry, childish country. About three people hold this place up.

Regards, and Goodbye,

Starks Hayter
