In this edition we read the statements from Presidents of Canada, Mexico and Venezuela!

Since it is likely that I won't be getting responses from the following countries: Croatia, Macedonia, Albania, Argentina; if you are a Government member and wish to answer on behalf of your Government, please do PM me to send you the questions, because I would really like to hear from each of you! 🙂

President of eCanada, Mann551

1. (Optional) Describe yourself to the audience, who are you, what do you do, why did you run for CP etc.
- Hello, I am Mann551. I originate from Canada in real life. I also am a university student going for a degree in Economics and Political Science. I ran for CP because I felt like it, and I was guessing I'd have time this month to deal with it, which turned out to only be half true.

2. Despite its vast territory, eRepublik wasn't as generous when giving regions to Canada, as they did with USA. Despite that, Canada played host to many, many countries lately. Apart from usual allies TWs with Serbia, Romania and Macedonia, Croatia and Greece landed and tried to attack you. Can you explain this situation from your point of view, what were your plans etc.
- To be honest, eRepublik was as generous with regions for Canada as they were with the USA. All of our real geographical regions are represented on the eRep map, just like the USA. We just have less of them.

The last time I was CP, in October of 2018, Croatia attacked Canadian core regions. I made mistakes at that time in conducting the war against them, some on purpose, most accidentally. It was my first time experiencing being the front-lines of a real war. But it afforded me experience, and this time around, I feel like we did a lot better coordinating with our allies, seeing more of the possibilities, communicating, and choosing the proper priorities.

3. How are your relations with Macedonia? I remember when I was last active, before the last Resource Wars I believe, I discussed a MPP with Exalted Druid (when MPP's mattered).
- While our relations with Macedonia have been friendly in the past, as our interests are generally aligned, I feel in recent months they have improved greatly, and I look forward to working closely with them over the coming months as well.

4. Canada is now safe as enemies have been removed. That can't be said for your neighbor USA, however. What are your relations with them? You were once sworn enemies, USA even held you occupied for a while, I also remember constant NE laws on both sides, apart from articles.. It was fun.

- While we are not hostile towards the USA directly, we do find ourselves on opposite sides of international relations, which would naturally pit us against one another.

5. Does eRepublik need a proper second alliance to go on par with Asteria?

- Speaking for myself, I kind of view the Anti-Asteria side as an alliance already. They just need a chain of command and a name.

6. How do you see this latest World War and what do you think caused it? Can you predict the outcome of it?
- The cause of the latest world war is slightly contested. Some say it goes back a little further than the abolishment of the NAP, some say it was a long time coming anyway. The only thing I know for sure is that the NAP disappeared, and a war broke out.

1. (Optional) Describe yourself to the audience, who are you, what do you do, why did you run for CP etc.
- My name is Federico, I'm Argentino RL and official of police, I've been in eMexico for more than 2 years and I really liked being here, this is the seventh time I'm president of Mexico.

2. In the latest World War despite its size, Mexico decided to attack Serbia. What was your plan here?
- our plan basically was to be able to help our brothers in the Andes and try to drain as much damage as possible. beyond our size we have always had good allies who support us

3. For a while now Mexico had friendly TWs with its allies on your territories. Are there some agreements here, or countries are allowed to use your regions to attack other countries (example, Turkey-> Serbia).
- Argentina and Turkey are great allies that have offered to do TWs with us to protect our territories from hostile threats, now they have erased us for the Emirates, so that they can not take more regions.

4. As a result of your NE on Serbia, United Arab Emirates Airstriked you. Forgive me, but I was not following most of the battles, including that one. Did you put up a fight before they landed, or you didn't want to fight them?
- No, we did not put much resistance, we let them land and time will drive them out, they will not have chances here.

5. Does eRepublik need a proper second alliance to go on par with Asteria?
- Asteria occupies 60% of the world damage and should be balanced to be 50% of both sides, if Asteria is still power and there is nobody to face many end up bored.

6. How do you see this latest World War and what do you think caused it? Can you predict the outcome of it?
- It is very simple to understand, on January 5 ends NAP Asteria - Andes, Romania long ago wants to attack Chile and hatred comes from when there was a operation in the USA.

President of eVenezuela, Joam02


1. (Optional) Describe yourself to the audience, who are you, what do you do, why did you run for CP etc.
- Well, let's start with me, I've been in this game for 5 years and as many years as part of the leadership of my country, I'm 22 years old and I'm from Venezuela in RL and I decided to run as CP for this month with the initial plan to start this 2019 in the best possible way and keep the work that we did the past year with very good results in our small community.

2. Can you please explain to the audience the current situation eVenezuela is in? Are those agreed or forced TWs, or do you dream of seeing your country completely free as it once was.
- The current situation in Venezuela is not the best right now, but I would not define this as the worst either, I can proudly tell you what we spent a lot of time under the shadow of long wipes and many attacks from ASTERIA countries, and even this we have maintained a constant fight for our freedom with the same RREE policy as always. About the TWs, we maintain a kind of TW with Cuba in our territory and a circumstantial Serbian occupation of some regions. And obviously my highest priority is Venezuela and get our freedom to continue with our internal plans.

3. In the latest war, probably because Venezuela played host to so many countries before, you were attacked by Serbia. How are your relations with them?
- Yes, as you say, Venezuela was involved in this war too, and about our relations with Serbia, I can say with great sincerity that during these last years of the game we have maintained a practically non-existent contact with the Serbian government, but since the signature of the NAP between Serbia - Chile - Argentina, from the chancellery of Venezuela we decided to maintain a policy of respect towards them and their interests and they know it, a relationship policy that was consistent with the general position of our alliance ANDES, but it was until a few days ago that the war knock our doors and I decided to contact them from the first moment, with a clear message that I believe that Serbia understood from the beginning and today these actions keep us with some hope of not being erased by them.

4. eVenezuela might be the only country that was attacked, but didn't issue any attack towards a country in this World War. You're basically the Switzerland of the war. Do you see yourself that much neutral?
- No, I really would not define myself as the Switzerland in this world war, the truth is that we expected this attack from ASTERIA for weeks in view of the end of the NAP with them, and that it would go mainly focused on Chile, with whom we maintained a TW in our regions, which in one way or another would make us indirectly involved in this war by being surrounded by Serbia from the regions of Colombia and Spain, was something I knew I would have to face as soon as I began my term. In the minutes of Serbia attacking Chile in Guayana (region of Venezuela) we started a fast movement to close the continuity of the Serbian advance through Venezuela which ended with a DoW response against us by Serbia, whom I contacted minutes later, while holding the mouse on the button to declare NE and without any other option, add Venezuela in this war facing an obviously superior enemy that we do not fear, but what we respect, condition to which I appealed and decided to bet before doing some other movement. As I mentioned before, I made clear our position even though we were not able to demand much, I dared to do it and until now it is going well, because I feel that even if we are a small country they also respect us and and they kept their word (the most valuable thing of any Country).

And about if we are neutral, I will respond in a simple way, our main interest as a community is Venezuela, nothing above it, then our allies of ANDES and then our friends of the world, those allies that even though they are not in the same alliance with us They are our friends and have been in our battles for a long time without abandoning us and that loyalty makes us stay with them. Asteria many times has left lot of wounds in our country and in our region, without any kind of approach, and if we decided do not join to this war is because we consider this is a war of big countries very well determined to face each other , we just end up in the middle of it.

5. Does eRepublik need a proper second alliance to go on par with Asteria?
- Currently I see the game very polarized with 2 blocks of very strong countries, one that has resisted the empire of ASTERIA for years and want to demarcate their spaces in the game, and another block of countries that refuses to stop being the police of the world to keep their military, economic and political interests intact. All here we know for whom everyone plays, and I think that it is not a clash of alliances, but a group of countries that has been giving back hope to many others about ASTERIA will fall, and with this destroy that feeling of security that being inside or under that alliance provides. "Feeling safe is a simply a state of mind, it is not something that assures you that you really will be" 😉

6. How do you see this latest World War and what do you think caused it? Can you predict the outcome of it?
- I consider what this war gave the Anti-ASTERIA block a great time for smile, see how they could act together and achieve their common objective of attacking Romania and obtaining victory in almost all of its attacks. I believe that this is only the beginning of a series of attacks that will define the positions of those countries that still do not add up, it will be a long and complex war that will continue to occur in the regions of the USA for a long time because it is a suitable map for a war of this type.

President of ePortugal, Miguel Soprano

1. (Optional) Describe yourself to the audience, who are you, what do you do, why did you run for CP etc.
- Thank you for the invitation, my name is Miguel and I’m 33 years old. Although my account was created in 2009 I only started playing for real in 2017, it’s my first experience as CP and I ran for it because I wanted to do something for my country and it has been very interesting experience so far.

2. In this World War you decided to help Romania but attacking Thailand. But sadly, there were no regions left for your Airstrike. Can you explain to us why you chose such a risky target, and not another one that has more regions at least?
- Well we are a small country and we gave our support to our allies and received that mission, we knew there was a risk of they give up their regions to block us, but we needed to try, and that’s what we did. Curiously, it’s now the second time that our target prefers to wipe themselves than facing us 😊

3. Word is Lithuania and Thailand teamed up against your last attempt to free a region in Thailand in the RW in Thai original regions, owned by Lithuania, but previously meant for Slovenia. All 3 countries are official members of Asteria. Why? Are you not coordinating? Do you have some bad blood between yourselves? Is everything fine in Asteria?
- That’s not what happened, we had 16 hours to free that region before our AS expired, we contacted Lithuania government and explained the situation and started the RW, but unfortunately, the enemy managed to delay the battle and at a certain point, when our AS expired, we lost all the interest in releasing that region. After that, even Portugal fought to keep that region with Lithuania.

4. Portugal since then is at peace; do you have more plans for future wars that you can share with us?
- Well, we can’t use our AS yet because of what happened with Thailand, but we are always willing to help our allies, so who knows what the future holds.

5. Does eRepublik need a proper second alliance to go on par with Asteria?
- In fact, I believe that it already exists, the anti-Asteria countries formed a organized group of countries and they appear to work coordinately, they only need to come up with an appropriate name.

6. How do you see this latest World War and what do you think caused it? Can you predict the outcome of it?
- I think it’s going to be a long and hard war, with strong countries on both sides, so it’s a bit early to predict but I believe that in the end Asteria will win, despite a few setbacks. For now, let’s all enjoy it.
