Spain and the USA have been allies for a long time. Our two states have fought together in many wars, including the devastating ones during this summer, that led to the disappearance of Spain, which was acelerated because of an attack on France for helping USA, and with USA reduced to Florida. Both of our states have given out everything to defend each other. Spain even lent 2000 gold to the USA, which is currently being paid back in weekly payments since last month. We will never forget the amount of American votes which saved us from the Hungarian TO some months ago.
Some weeks ago, due to the Italian wish of leaving PEACE, Italy have been initiating diplomatic approaches with Spain. Italian's second intention was to work on the situation between Spain and France through abambassadors improving diplomatic relations.
I was asked by Italy to attend to a meeting with Canada, USA, Italy and France. It was not a formal meeting because the notification for this meeting was sent few minutes before the meeting. I could just state the lack of interest concerning a peace treaty with France, something Lyne Faynel can never prove is that we offered a peace treaty because we have not and we will never be signing a peace treaty with the conditions of which the USA and Canada have signed before.
From the Spanish Government, we strongly understand and respect that the USA wants to close war fronts, but we can not share this point of view and we can only express our disappointment in this decision. We think that closing a war which has 10 MPPS in favour is not the best move also without consulting nor respecting the wishes of allies like Spain or even the rest of EDEN who received the information once the decision was already taken. Respecting allies is not doing what allies want you to do, it is just a matter of respecting and understanding their decisons and points of view. Canada and the USA have just taken into account their own interests without thinking on that finishing this war can be against the interests of his allies in Europe. Taking decisions on your own could damage on a direct or indirect way to a fellow nation which does not make you a really good ally
Nowadays, USA is not more secure than before, the only one country that has earned something out of this is France. France has been managing the situation in order to gain a free security with American frontiers, knowing that france which will never quit PEACE, this is why we think that this move has been a foolish move rather than a brilliant one led USA and Canada.
We are allied countries and we will continue to be so, but we should have stated our points of view before. We do not feel betrayed but profoundly disappointed.

I understand some of the emotion coming from our friends in Spain. They really helped us and paid a stiff price. But our friendship is strong, MPPS are in place, if anyone attacks Spain the eUS will be there.

Today USA is not more saved before they sign the peace with France, it´s less, the have lost the simpaty of a nation that always have fight strongly by there side, and is not only a feeling of spain, may EDEN citizens thinks the same, thoe how fight yesterday by your side would thinked more than twice to do it todey.
As your presidnt said, explore your new freanch friendship, but know you are burying on the way yours with Spain.

It doesn't make sense for the US to be at war with France. France only borders nations it is allied with or nations that (currently) have MPP's with the US. If France attacks any of them, the US gets to help its ally, plus act as blocker as necessary. As far as closing MPP's opened, that is only a factor if the US were going to occupy France. France has nothing the US needs. If Spain feels the need to "punish" France, they need to have the cajones to do it by direct attack.
Travis Williams@: Spain don´t have any borders with Rusia so it not make sence to be in war of thems, olso for the secure of EDEN maybe a great idea make de peace with them.
So if Rusia decided to attack USA you should be defended by your own cojones.
I would notice two more thinks, if Spain feels need to panish France is becouse we where ereased when we try to defended USA.
The other think I like to say is that since you where negocieted this peace, France, with their president at the head, sent his army to attack Croatia your allie.

This is really short-sighted move from USA. They do not see ex-Peace members for what they really are, and probably will end up getting burned again.
If France or some PEACE nation attacked you guys, we'd fight through our MPP. We sacrificed states to attempt to hold La Rioja in the first strike by PEACE, and we would do it again.

The bonds of friendship and loyalty between the eUS and eSpain are too strong for this to break.
We will still have our MPP and we will still give everything for eSpain. Giving eFrance an open border to block us (and our efforts with our allies around the world) was not a benefit to eSpain or anybody else.
A true ally doesn´t shake hands with your worst enemy before EVEN telling you.

If the Spanish government listens to the angsty posters here, and doesn't renew its MPP with the US, I think it would be a mistake. However, that is the sovereign right of a country to make its own decisions in regards to its foreign policy. If Spain keeps its MPP, the US stands ready to defend it from aggression. The US didn't intend to invade France (who wants the stinky French in their country?) and so that war was pointless.

ok, ok, I think we need to calm down a little. Speaking from eSpain I feel very dissapointed, yes. eUSA should treat its allies better ( come on, at least imform us you are going to make a peace treaty ) but this doesn´t make eUSA a traitor nor makes them comparable to brits. We will keep being friends and allies.
For eAmericans: just to help you understand how eSpaniards feel, think france is for us like russia is for you. you wouldnt be happy if an allie signed peace treaty with russia without even letting you know in advance.
Im agree with chimobayo, perhaps a peace treaty with France, who invaded Canada, USA and destroy all Spain is not the best option for Spanish people. France deserved to dissapear for a time from the world, surrender to E/B and pay gold for what they have done.
This is all, we are dissapointed with that trait, but never consider USA or Canada as a traitor as England. I will move again to USA-CAnada if neccesary as a good ally.

We should have informed Spain that we were going to have peace with France but i think most EDEN players are overreacting.
Actually, I see a lot of NOOB players over reacting. This really has no direct impact, besides from a conquest standpoint. Which is something Spain might have wanted to share with us through the proper channels. Bottom line is this. Spain was made aware of the Bros intentions with France. They were invited to the meetings. For whatever reasons, they didn't send anyone. Is it fair to stir the pot up over misinformation? Is it wise, in these days of unrest and constant political upheaval, to make this a public spectacle for the real enemies of both our alliances?
No. Our disunity is merely a facet of what the real problem is, here. Lack of direction, now that PEACE is dissolving. We need to refocus on what our next moves will be and SOON. BOTH SIDES need to communicate better and BOTH SIDES need to get to the bottom of each item before they ruin perfectly good relations.
You need to remember that just because we have MPPs, we can't MAKE our citizens fight for you. Just like you can't MAKE YOUR citizens fight for us. It's a two way street here, brethren. Alienating each other with harsh words and ridiculous rhetoric is not only inappropriate, but a shitty idea, in ANY language. eSpain has been a loyal ally and we've helped each other out many times over the years. I don't see us failing to continue that trend over a country like eFrance, who has nothing worth conquering anyway.
I, for one, will still be there on the frontlines whenever eSpain should need the help of my ecountry.
