Starting with the some of the terms provided on the eRep Wiki, we've created the following list of terms frequently used in the game.

2-Clicker or Two Clicker - A citizen that only works and trains.

A-D

AoE (Area of Effect) – In v2, the number of tiles (hexes) surrounding a Hospital or Defense System that experiences its effect.

ATO (Anti-Takeover) - The opposite of a Political Takeover, an ATO, or Anti-Takeover, involves people working to defeat a political takeover.

Account Sitting - When a citizen gives their login information to another player to work and train for them for a short amount of time. This is illegal and is considered having a multi-account. The term is based on the English phrase "babysitting".

Baby - A new player

Baby Boom- A period where many new players join.

Battle Hero – The player from either side of a battle that has scored the most damage points during the battle. They are rewarded a medal and a Treasure Map.

Blocker - A blocker is a citizen who is running in a region for congress with no plans on winning. They run to prevent an enemy from running.

Clone - A name for a multi-account.

Channer - A name for a User from the wesite 4chan. These users are often PTOers. The most famous examples of Channers are Harvad University.

CP (Country President) – The elected leader of a country, elected on the 5th of each month. They oversee the country’s cabinet and congress during their month in office as well as negotiations with foreign leaders. They’re able to propose MPPs as well as declaring war.

CP (Customization Points) – A v2 term, it describes the emphasis company owners choose to give to each component of the products their companies create. The more Cps you have, the stronger the component. Example: If you choose to give more CPs to your House’s walls, it’s durability will increase.

Dioist - An adherent of Dioism.

Fortress - A region that has been fortified by its controlling country.

Fortress Strategy – A national strategy in which a majority of the population is moved to one or two regions. This raises the cost of attacking that region and makes enemy victory less likely by raising the Wall.

Goldbeast - See Tank

Goons - Users from the website Something Awful. Many Goons came to eRepublik in summer 2008.

Headless chickens - The eRepublik staff, taken from their default downtime page. Since the term became popular, the staff has used a cartoon image of a headless chicken on 404 error pages.

Hex – Another name for the tiles used to denote individual fighting areas on the v2 battlefield.

Initiative Blocking – A battle strategy used to block enemy forces from attacking further into a home region. Initiative is the ability to start a new battle in a war. You lose it for 24 hours if your nation is defeated (or retreats) the last active battle in a specific war, or if you are under attack in that specific war.

Internet Slang – Abbreviations and terms frequently used on the Internet in order to simplify communication. So of the most frequently used terms are:
o/ or \o = Meant to represent someone waving, it’s a typical irc greeting
\o/ = Two arms raised – used to show happiness or approval
o7 = A salute, used to show respect or as a greeting between members of the military
AFK = Away from Keyboard
AFAIK = As Far as I know
BRB=be right back
GTFO = get the f*** out
IMHO = in my humble opinion
IMO = in my opinion
IRC = internet relay chat
LMFAO! = Laughing my f***** ass off
NP = no problem
POV = Point Of View
ROFL = Rolling on floor laughing
STFU = Shut the f*** up

MM (Money Market) – The Money Market provides players with an opportunity to exchange currencies or to exchange currency for gold and visa-versa. If exchanging one country’s gold for another, it’s recommended that players exchange the currency for gold first in order to get the best deal

MMMP – Mass Media Mogul Project, A South African program to help citizens achieve their Media Mogul Medal

MoD (Ministry of Defense) – South African cabinet department overseeing national war efforts.

MoFA (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) – South African cabinet department that connects ambassadors to foreign governments in order to build stronger relationships and better communication.

MoI (Ministry of Information) – South African cabinet department charged with keeping citizens apprised of government action.

MoSD (Ministry of Social Development) – South African cabinet department, encompassing the departments of Education, Mentorship and Fun. The MoSD uses articles, outreach and games to improve game play and retain citizens.

MT - abbreviation for Moving ticket.

Multi - Short for multiaccount; a citizen account created by another citizen primarily used for cheating.

MPP (Mutual Protection Pact) – An agreement between allied countries to protect each other against enemy forces. When an MPP is activated through attack, members can fight in the battle form their home territories rather than having to move to their ally’s country.

obrazek - Word that appears when an image that has been inserted into an article but it doesn't appear. The word actually means means image or picture in Polish.

Owner – Wiki. Used to describe a wiki author who is overly possessive about any changes made to his/her page, no matter how constructive the edit. This possessiveness usually goes against the spirit of the collaborative nature of a wiki.

PP (Party President) – Party President elections are held on the 15th of each month. PPs guide their party’s activities over the course of a month and endorse possible congress candidates.

Political Party – Groups with shared ideologies. The 5 largest parties in a country are allowed to nominate congressional candidates. Smaller parties frequently contact larger parties in order to gain candidacy for their members. Current South African Political Parties include:

SAMCP: South African Military Capitalist Party
NA: New Africa
PPSA: Progressive Party of South Africa
NPSA: Naturalist Party of South Africa

Pertamax - Indonesian equivalent for the English eRepublik meme First.

PSA – Proudly South African.

PTO - abbreviation for Political Takeover in which one country performs a coup d'état upon another country during elections.

RM (Raw Material) – Raw Materials are harvested by employees of a company then sold to companies that manufacture goods to be sold to players in the marketplace. RMs include Oil, Grain, Diamonds. Iron and Wood (soon to be stone).

Region Swap - Where one nation attacks a friendly nation to move through their territory. Often the battles are quickly retreated to allow swift maneuvers. This can be dangerous and expensive if swapping through regions that launch MPPs.

Resistance War - A Resistance War is a battle in which only one nation participates, and can only be started in a region which is not native to its current owner. If the battle is successful, it returns to its proper owner.

eSAHC - eSouth African Health Center

Signed - Used when in agreement with the original post, often used outside of contracts for humorous effect; made famous on the Off-Topic forum after the forum was flooded with petitions.

Singed - Common misspelling of Signed, often used intentionally as a non-qualified signature.

T-Z

Talking Bank - An organization that leaves comments or replies in topics.

Tank - Someone who spends large sums of Gold on wellness packs during wars. “To Tank” is the act of spending the gold on wellness packs and weps in order to fight 30, 40 or more times during a given battle. To fight 10 – 20 times is to Mini-Tank.

Tile – Another word for the hexagonal areas used to divide up the battleground in v2.

Training War – A Training War is a battle staged for the purposes of countries within a MPP (Mutual Protection Pact) in order for them to keep their citizens’ thirst for war satisfied and to help them rank up faster.

Two Clicker - See 2-Clicker

V2 – Version 2 of eRep, currently in beta testing.

Wall- The Wall is the graphic in the center of the battle page. It’s “height,” represented by a number, is created using the number of citizens in the region being attacked as well as the presence of a hospital and/or defense system. Attackers must take the wall into the underground and Defenders must keep it in No Man’s Land in order for a victor to be declared. If neither has been accomplished at the end of 24 hours overtime is declared.

Wigs - The eRepublik staff, well known for their love of wigs and wig parties.[1]

Wig party - Some eRepublik citizens claim server downtime is due to wigs holding wig parties. This claim is supported by the site's slow loading times at 01.00-02.00/1 AM-2 AM Romanian time (UTC +2)

Zombie - 1. A person who votes strictly for their party in the general election without regard to the candidate's competency. Coined to describe the United States Workers Party. 2. A another name for a multiple account.
