eRepublik world war, cancelled?

Day 1,190, 14:46 Published in Sweden Sweden by Misho

Ever since USA left EDEN and searched friendship and co operation with Brazil the world alliances have been shaking in their foundation.

The world war is cancelled?

Just one week ago I was quite certain we would see a great war coming up this week. I saw how Germany and later the Netherlands opened them for Serbia to pass, I heard about a deal where UK should rent regions to Serbia and instantly my thoughts went to the start of the last invasion of USA. That time it was Hungary who rented regions from UK and then launched an invasion of Canada and USA together with France, Russia, Portugal and Mexico.
The battles where epic and the war raged for over hundred days with a crescendo in US last region Florida. The win in that battle is probably the greatest moments in most eAmericans mind.

This time I thought the invasion would be like this:
Serbia passes East of England, East Midlands, West Midlands, Wales and then strikes against USA's only Iron region in South East of Ireland. From Wales there are also connections with several original US-states.
Reasons to attack? One months ago US president Haliman took USA through Iran and Turkey with the aim to attack Serbia on the European continent.

Poland would already be in striking position while Indonesia would attack Hawaii.

This is a scenario many share and USA reacted to it. They quickly began to search for friends to move focus from an invasion on USA to a retaliation on the NWO countries. Yesterday Panam added Russia to the alliance and today Indonesia announces that they will aid Panam brother Brazil in South America by blocking Poland out.
Meanwhile USA is putting Portugal as Natural Enemy.

USA and Russia, now brothers in the same alliance.

Panam now have strong support in all time zones while NWO is only represented in Europe.
What looked like a huge invasion of both North and South America now looks like an invasion of Spain and a slow removal of Poland from the Western Hemisphere and US presence in Central Europe.

If Panam crashed in Turkey then NWO never took off at all. I still haven't seen a NWO logo or official paper, I still haven't figured out who is in charge of it. I thought it was Cerber and noticed that he was one vote from being impeached yesterday.

I dare say that the heat of world war has been efficiently cooled off the last 48 hours.

EDEN and Panam still has a great deal of issues to solve but they are more of diplomatic character rather than questions of when and where to fight.
The Turkey - Greece 'issue'.
Russia - Ukraine
..and so on.

All in all there will of course be wars, some even quite big ones. But Panam has gathered the strongest nations in several time zones and will be very difficult to fight against since they will have strong support 24/7.

I am surprised that the NWO-countries hasn't taken a step to organize an alliance since they left Phoenix respectively EDEN. Finding allies in other times zones should have been top priority especially with the current military module with 2 hours mini battles, instead rumours says only European countries have been discussed as new members. Now few options are left.

To be totally frank I would like to see an attack on USA from Serbia and Poland. Serbia is the Nr 1 ranked country and they haven't really meet their match yet and USA has so many regions that they can take lots of damage and still stand strong, day after day.
Not to mention the fact that the economy is crying and longing for a world war. Now I doubt we will see it happen, especially not when Indonesia has decided to sided with Panam in South America.

With some creativity we could perhaps call this coming war the first American-Spanish war.

American-Spanish war, April 25 – August 12, 1898

Spain currently holds over 20 regions and has proven to be able to unite when being pressured from outside.
Perhaps there will be a world war after all - much is still to be written in the future.

Be ready folks, train hard and prepare yourself.
