Hello and welcome to this latest edition of News to South Africa - Broadcast Edition. This edition is on a new avenue of play, either you can make gold or wish you never tried your hand at it, here in eRepublik. What am I talking about? Simple, eRepublik Stock Exchanges there are two separately owned and operated exchanges. I have spoken with both eRepublik citizens that run them and was able to garner an interview with each.

In the process of writing this series I was able to have multiple interviews and will be releasing one (1) interview per article to make each of these articles and interviews to be about a single subject during this series.

In this series of article I will begin with the ERX Stock Exchange, I start with the ERX because, well I learned of it first and have purchased stocks on it. I have made some gold and lost some gold… I advise only use gold you feel you can lose without it affecting your game play or your ORG.

So you wish to register and become an eRepublik stock holder, fairly simple, as the API here is what is used by the eOlympics (next series). I advise that you use only your ORG here in the event you want to be listed as this way you can keep the gold in the hands of your ORG. Registering takes only a few minutes, now the API will want you log in exactly as you will in eRepublik as it verifies you. When you make it to the account registration page, you can then have a different password (very advisable).

To Deposit funds: Click the gold tab at the bottom of the page and type how much you want deposited, but you also need to donate the desired amount to the in-game account: "ERX Terminal". The funds will appear in your account 1-24 hours later.

To Withdraw funds: You have two options here, have the gold sent to your eRepublik account. Or you can transfer gold to another ERX account (you need the username of the account to do so) I will assume you can send gold to a friend here, if you wish.

Be patient at this early stage, but take this time to research the companies. Do Not Buy Just Any Stock! I did and the CEO tanked the stock to 0.001 and I lost close to 2 gold as a result, so learn from my mistake and click the links and read all you can about the companies.

Now on to the meant and potatoes of this informational article series on the eRepublik Stock Exchanges, I have completed the initial listing process for my ORG Colonial Corporations. Now if you decide to list your ORG with ERX, you need to have your ORG page open as you will need to review for some info to add to your registration.

Below is a screen shot of the initial screen for listing your ORG on the ERX, but please remember the Rules of the ERX:

To list a new organization your eRepublik account must be the owner of it. Furthermore you must abide by the following rules at all times:
1. No falsifying financial documents or information
2. No lying to ERX or SEC auditors
3. No utilizing multiple citizens or organizations to manipulate share price
4. No Engaging in illegal or unethical financial behavior
5. Cooperating with all SEC investigations. The SEC has governance over all companies which go public and allow American investors to purchase shares.

Now this may seem a bit funny, but you can list your country in any country just remember Rule 1. We all know your ORG can move, but we all claim a citizenship I advise using this as the choice for your country or at least one of your companies locations.

ORG I😨 is asking only for your ORG ID # and not the entire page address! And yes if you have multiple ORGs you can list them all at the same time here.

Organization name is self explanatory here.

ERX Tag: this is asking you for what 3 or 4 letter combination you want your ORG listed under. And yes you can change this later, but I advise you look through the ORGs that are already listed to see if you can use it.

Total Value: To figure this out you only assess only Q rating of the company and the cash and gold on hand. (You can find more on this on the ERX FAQ page)

Brief Description: What do you want people to see when they look at your stock page? You can always change this area later.

Click the Take Your Company Public button and you are now listed as an Unaudited Stock which means your company has not had its value verified. Again read the FAQ page to see what is needed to have your ORG audited. There is more to just clicking a button here, you will truly need to do some work.
