eRepublik game concepts, new missions, future?

Day 1,060, 04:53 Published in Japan Hungary by Xavinyo

Lets analyze which players are rewarded most and least in eRepublik.

Backgroun😛
- productivity formulas tweaked
- one skill for all, global job market
- exp for fights (1xp/hit)
- new mission goals, more easy exp
- no more “strength” medal

Right now a beginner needs 10 exp to fight, 100 exp to reach level 15, earn 3 treasure maps, use the monetary. With the high productivity at even low levels (211 productivity at skill 1, only 401!! productivity at skill 10) new players can earn 1/3-1/2 wages of what old farts can earn in the game. This means also that reaching 100 exp is not an effort, can be done in two weeks without any problem. Especially in this new global job market, where companies have to compete with every other company and wages cannot be kept very much under their value.

A new player can easily earn 4 medals in a month, come up to a semi decent working and military skill with the new missions, exp for fights.

On the same time the old players can have about double wages and 1 HW medal if they continuously work and make their HW medals.

Clearly, the productivity formula helps new players, the medals helps new players, the new missions helps new players, the exp for fight help new players much more than the old players. The game is upside down, all new changes are helping the new players and taking away the resources, power from the old players.

I can understand the drive behind it from the maintainers. Lately the population of eRepublik dropped extremely steeply. There are many factors behind this: constant changes of the game rules, unsatisfied users because of failed migrations (weapons, food, house, etc), extremely bad game support, inadequate handling of multies (chasing away fair players), adequate handling of multies (removing multies), bad coding, bad ideas, bad game concepts, experimenting on players like it was a beta software, and I could go on.

The staff need to recruit new players because in contrast to 2009 when PR boasted of more than 2 million players, at the moment only 163.000 active citizen exists (this is also an over estimation in my opinion).

However all these new changes call for multies again, the benefit is extreme, 4 times of gold awards in a short time compared than that of real fair players gets. And it seems they don’t mind cheating or multies if it is happening under the grass. They can pretend to the investors that their player base is growing again and for this kind of business they have to produce good figures and boast that due to their advanced methods to find multies these are now real players.

And most importantly the created fuss, accusations and excitement hides how bad this so called “strategy” game it is. The last nail in the coffin was taking out of the MPP activation rules and removing the last element of strategy from the game. The only value in the game are the remnants of fair player base and community. Since the last “castration”, the game is all about raw strength, who can cheat better and how deep your wallet is.

I don’t want to compete on these fields with the others. I am rather looking for an alternative where freedom of speech is not suppressed by the game maintainers, don't lie to your face, there is stability, a friendly atmosphere, no cheating, a good player base, interesting game concepts, good content, the maintainers are not biased and not helping their own eCountry in the game, the maintainers are responsible, competent and care for customer satisfaction. If you know something better, please comment.
