eRep in Maps - September 7th - Croatian Edition

Day 657, 20:07 Published in Croatia USA by Mainegreen

As usual, let me start by saying you must visit eGobba's World Map. This tool is invaluable to anyone, especially in helping me try and collect the visual representation of what the heck is going on in eRep.

In order to understand these maps here is the legen😛

Included below the continental pictures is a link to allow you to see a larger version of the image.

Yesterday's Article

This is the touring edition of this paper
There are two editions of this paper. One is always published in the US. The other moves from place to place. Yesterday it was Australia. Today it is Croatia!. I hope any Croatian readers like this paper. If you enjoy it, either subscribe, or check out the daily edition published in the US.

Editor's Note
Sorry about the photobucket bandwidth exceeded thing yesterday. Switching to a new account today. I was getting upwards of 14,000 image views a day! The price of success I guess. 😛 I've backdated the September 6th articles to have the fixed images, so if all you got were slaps in the face from photobucket, feel free to check them out again.

Also, I'm not sure where to send the next edition of the touring version of this paper. If you have an idea, post it in the comments. Country that gets the most votes, wins. 😃 (Thanks to Pangolin for the idea).

North America
Conflict Con Queso!

* Saskatchewan was secured by Hungary in the war versus the Resistance Force. The Canadian battle hero was Romanian Stfn. The Hungarian hero was kartal_4vr, a Turk.

* The US captured Russian held Oklahoma. The American hero was Finn jaywalker71, who is sporting Moldavian citizenship today, along with a large number of other Finnish military. His last shout is too good not to post: '"Find a job, Earn some money and work your way up to the top." YOU'RE NOT MY WIFE 😐'. The Russian hero was UK's Hassan Pesaran.

* At this point, Hungary's mistake became evident in Idaho. As one of our readers, Aeros, pointed out to me, by starting the resistance war before the attack, it became very easy for Fortis to ensure that Idaho stayed in allied hands. Hungary evidently never even caught on, as they didn't start another battle to keep initiative when the resistance war closed in Favor of Fortis. The initiative gain by retreat of Nordjylland was blown by this mistake. Remember, resistance wars if successful, close all other battles in the region, thus freeing Canada from Hungary's initiative crushing attack. I'm not a 100% positive if this also counts as a defeat for Hungary in their attack on Canada, but I'm betting not as it doesn't count as a win for Canada. Either way, Hungary messed up and Canada used this to regain initiative. Granting Hungary a D'oh icon as suggested by Aeros. This was a double whammy so there are four heroes in total. The two heroes for Fortis were Che Greco the Greek and janigga the Hungarian, going for a battle hero award. Note that even in a closed battle due to resistance war success, battle hero awards go out. The two awards for Hungary were BlackCarMafia, a Croatian going in for the award, and samu126 the Hungarian. Note that BlackCarMafia was a hero for the normal battle, and as I did not see where the wall was, the forces of Fortis/EDEN may have been fighting to keep the wall between captured and secured in order to prolong the battle. Or not, as I didn't see where the wall was when the battle closed. If not, still, it would have been a good strategy.

* With new found initiative Canada initiated a double whammy in Saskatchewan, Hungary and also attacked Hungarian Montana. The resistance was started by Lilla, another Finn sporting Moldavian citizenship.

* The US initiated a double whammy against Russian held Nebraska. The resistance war was started by blitzwithlimes.

* Kansas was conquered by the Resistance Force in the war versus Russia. The American hero was American Leroy Combs, getting his first hero award. The Russian hero was the Turk Diabolus1907.

* As expected, Columbia landswapped her way through Mexico up to the US border. The path taken was as follows: Southeast of Mexico, Mexico, to Oaxaca, Mexico to Pacific Coast of Mexico, Mexico to Northwest of Mexico, Mexico. Colombia now borders four US states: California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. A perfect position for alternating initiative crushing attacks. Thus occurred 'Conflict Con Queso' (Thanks to Aaron S for the name. Aaron S is our unofficial honorary editor).

* France has been driven from the Iberian peninsula, as the Valencian Community was liberated by the Spanish Resistance. PEACE now only controls two Spanish territories: the Canary Islands and Andalusia, both held by Brazil. For France, the hero was Melkion. For Spain, the hero was Pluvio. With the close of this front, at least for now, it will be interesting to see in which battles these often-reported names next turn up.

* The liberation-landswap between Ukraine and Moldavia continued, with a resistance beginning in Northern Basarabia and the conclusion of the land-swap in Southern Basarabia. These two nations continued expanding their contractually-obligated friendship by signing an MPP today. These actions are all concessions won by the Romanian PTO of the Ukrainian congress.

Asia
Theocrats are fun!
reported by Pangolin

* The President of Pakistan, Arash-Kamangir, was impeached. Pakistan is a one-territory Dioist nation (honestly, I didn't know it still existed) which has gained a reputation as an easy way to get a Country President medal. For some reason, citizenship hasn't halted their election woes - so the seventh of the month is a national holiday in Pakistan, celebrating the ceremonial firing of the president.

* Gyeonggi-do fell to the Japanese attack, and Theocratic South Korea ceased to exist. Again. For now. The battle hero for South Korea was Cz4rny, a South African citizen residing in Poland whose only listed friend is Admin. For Japan, the hero was their resident tank mAonK - who has 37 battle hero awards.

* The Theocrats did not manage to liberate Chungcheongbuk-do from Japan. The hero for the Theocratic Resistance was vegaicm. For Japan, the hero was Trichoplax - a citizen of Pakistan we often see tanking for PEACE.
* Gyeongsangbuk-do was also secured by Japan, making the Theocrats 0-for-3 with one battle to go. The Theocracy hero was Flashgun, the Supreme Commander of the Theocratic Holy Army, who has recently announced that he used to be Sparta Kratos before that character was banned for multis. For Japan, the hero was BattalGazi - who is still sporting Ukrainian citizenship, and is currently the top ranked resident of Canada.

* Finally, Chungcheongnam-do was conquered by the Theocratic Resistance Force and South Korea sprang back into existence. Note that South Korea's open war with Japan was closed when Gyeonggi-do fell; if Japan attacks again, it will trigger South Korean MPPs with Romania and Croatia. For Japan, the hero was Alfagrem. The President of South Korea, Colinar, was the battle hero for the liberation. These two are currently the second and first ranked residents of South Korea, respectively.

* Dio Akira, currently the second ranked resident of Japan, began a resistance in the high-grain region of Gyeonggi-do on behalf of the Theocracy.
