As usual, let me start by saying you must visit eGobba's World Map. This tool is invaluable to anyone, especially in helping me try and collect the visual representation of what the heck is going on in eRep.

In order to understand these maps here is the legen😛

Editor's note
Today is a busy edition. I am pleased to start out with a special Pangolin feature: impeachments galore!

Bill Clinton Head World Tour 2009
reported by Pangolin

* The President of Venezuela, Lucios Nava, was impeached. Venezuela is a small-to-medium country of 1534 which has a very exclusive political power base. There are a number of companies which are run by the government, and contain government funds, which the President recently found he had lost access to. Apparently the President said some thing about PEACE imperialism and made some approving noises in the direction of Eden which some of his Ministers felt breached the Venezuelan Constitution, and so they took the ministry orgs (and companies) hostage in exchange for the ouster of the President. There already exists a permanent Junta in Venezuela, which seems to have some oversight of all government functions, though it currently lacks access to the government orgs and companies. On a personal note, I had trouble navigating this particular bureaucracy - in a language I don't read - so there may be corrections and updates in tomorrow's edition.

* The President of Australia, stewstoyc, resigned and was impeached; a victim of that undeniable political force known as Real Life.

* The President of Denmark, Zeb Jolnas, resigned and was impeached. This one is the strangest of today's three impeachments. Denmark is a land of 2 territories and 350 people, and probably the threat they fear most is expanding and becoming more involved in the game - Denmark is afraid that if they control more of their original territory, they won't be able to vote active players into Congress. And so they have become a nation which prides itself on staying just as neutral and non-threatening towards their neighbors as they can possibly be, while still having a reason to exist. But this has become a burden on their President, who wants to be more involved in the world even if his country has to stay small and inoffensive. So, he decided he would lead his country by example, and go explore the world. He is now residing in Japan, as his people go on manufacturing gifts, and moving tickets, and staying out of the way of Hungary and Poland and Sweden - his nation that much smaller and less imposing and, we hope, happier. Denmark is, after all, the happiest nation on earth.

North America
'Wait, you mean if we attack them, their MPPs activate??'

* As Iran had still not attacked Canada, Canada opened a double whammy on Hungarian held Manitoba to keep their initiative crushed as long as possible.

* The Americans defeated the Colombian attack on Colorado. The American hero was Mdeusa03. The Colombian hero was malika ela, a Romanian, in a rare instance of Fortis/Eden members fighting on the doomed opposite side for an easy battle hero award. Note, you will not find this attack on yesterdays map, but on the day before that's map. This happens sometimes when a battle starts around the time I publish.

* In a rare win for Colombia, they finally secured Kansas when the American president retreated from the battlefield. Kansas does not provide a border with Russia. Why do this? Because the battle timer the president looked at showed Colombia still under attack. Thus the retreat from Kansas would be followed by a win in Colombia, thus giving the US initiative in the war vs Colombia. If the US could then retreat certain Russian battles, she could attack Colombia. However, the war module lies like teenager caught with a pack of beer in his car, and thus the new US president gets the same lesson every president gets: DO NOT TRUST THE WAR MODULE TIMER! IT LIES! The battle is/was under review by the admins. The American hero was Irish citizen Len Del Meurte. The Colombian hero was YACARE, who I do believe is a member of the Argentinian military with a very silly military avatar.

* Hungary defeated the Canadian double whammy in Montana. The battle heroes for Fortis were Noel Guns of Brixton, a PEACE citizen with Italian citizenship, who is one of the minority of PEACE citizens who are against the long term occupation of the North American regions, and kola1979, a Hungarian who was in it for the battle hero award. The Hungarian heroes were DonGiorgio, a Hungarian national, and mAonK, Japan's #1 citizen.

* Remember that when Iran declared war on Canada, they got a twenty-four hour period where they could attack Canada without fear of counter attack. The purpose of that declaration of war was widely believed to have been so that Iran could attack Canada, and thus free Hungary from the initiative crushing double whammies, allowing Hungary to attack members of Fortis/EDEN, drawing off defensive tanks from the battles in the United States. However Iran let the counter run out, and once the twenty-four hours was up, Canada instead attacked the Iranian held Yukon region. Canada can now keep Iran's initiative suppressed with alternating attacks on the Yukon and Northwest Territories. Rumor had it that the Iranians didn't understand that attacking Canadian national territory would activate Canada's MPPs, and once they realized that, decided to sit still, as defending their territories against just Canada would be easier than against Canada plus allies. Whoops. (Note that this was hard to figure out as google translate SUCKS on Persian to English.)

* Using it's new territory, Colombia attacked Nebraska from Kansas. Nebraska borders Russia.

* The Russian attack on Utah failed. The American hero was the American Mdeusa03. I like her avatar. The Russian hero was boscky, who holds Japanese citizenship, but appears to be Indonesian.

* Russia then launched another attack on Utah.

* Arkansas was secured against the Russian attack. The American hero was the croatian mrgood, with a sexy avatar. Those Croatians must love their porn, based on their avatars. The Russian hero was Arie Setio Prawiro, a Japanese national and member of the same branch of the Japanese military as mAonK, based on the avatar.

* Hungary secured Saskatchewan against the Canadian double whammy. The Canadian heroes were Gilroy, a Peruvian getting his first award, and HeadCutter, a Polish military member. The Hungarian heroes were JuhaszGabor and Ratyi17, both Hungarian and both getting their first awards, though Ratyi17 is sporting Indonesian citizenship today.

* Missouri was secured by the USA against the Russian attack. The American hero was PatxiOca, a member of the Spanish military. The Russian hero was shevade, an Indonesian.

* Colombia attacked Arkansas.

* Another double whammy was launched against Hungarian held Montana, as the double whammy in Manitoba was about to close. At this point the folks of Montana must not even bat an eye at the now daily double whammy.

* Closing out this paper where we started, the double whammy against Hungarian Manitoba was defeated. The Hungarian heroes were kola1979, a Hungarian, and Perry Rhodan a Dutch military unit getting his first award. Gefeliciteerd! The Canadian heroes were InChY, a Croatian getting his first award, and dece, a Romanian getting his second.

* After months of negotiation, two failed land-swaps, a successful PTO, a failed PTO, a mutually undesired declaration of war, and growing animosity on both sides, Hungary has decided to return Dnipro to its native Ukraine through resistance war.

Closed Training wars
* See previous days maps for locations of started training wars.
* Sabah is still Malaysian after their training war versus Philippines.
* Samogitia was secured by Lithuania, ending this installment of the world versus Latvia training war.

Thanks for reading, and if you wouldn't mind, could you vote up the touring edition of this paper? It's in Spain today, and Spain has a very tough media market. I'll need all the help I can get there! 😃
