Buenas Vihesito.

*Has sido elegido candidato a la presidencia de Cuba hace apenas unas horas. ¿Ahora mismo que sientes?

Una tremenda responsabilidad que asumo con lealtad al Pueblo y a mis principios.


*¿En base a tu experiencia y trayectoria en el juego te consideras capacitado para afrontar los retos del cargo?

Creo que estoy capacitado. Puede que no haya estado en la primera línea política de ningún país anteriormente, pero sí tengo sobrada experiencia como organizador y como luchador por la libertad contra TOveos, como el de eEgipto. Cuento con gente más experimentada que yo en campos cruciales como Defensa, Exteriores y Economía, donde pretendo actuar más como organizador que como ejecutor de políticas.


*Las elecciones internas te llevaron a enfrentar al candidato de la coalición del mes pasado, naldomj. En las primarias anteriores él había derrotado a elTripleD. ¿No te parece una ironía del destino que tú ahora lo hayas derrota con cerca de elTriple De votos? xD

Es una feliz ironía. Yo apoyé a Naldomj en aquellas elecciones; sentía que era su momento, no el mío. Ahora, creía, y el Pueblo me ha dado la razón, que se habían cambiado las tornas.


*¿Tienes confianza en la victoria?

Tengo total confianza en que venceremos en estas elecciones y recuperaremos el control de nuestro país. No hay otra alternativa.


*¿Algunas palabras que les quieras dedicar al pueblo cubano más allá de lo dicho en tu programa?

Cuando se muestran las debilidades de nuestra comunidad es cuando mayor esfuerzo debemos hacer por apuntalarla. Permanecer unidos, unidos en la diversidad, es una condición necesaria para la liberación, exterior e interior, de nuestro país.

Cuento con todos para las próximas elecciones presidenciales del día 5, así como con todo aquel que quiera aportar su trabajo al Gobierno. Espero que ustedes también confíen en mí y cuenten conmigo.

*You have been appointed candidate to the Presidency of Cuba just a few hours ago. What do you feel right now?

This is a great responsibility that I assume with loyalty to my values and to the People.


* Based on your experience and background in the game do you consider yourself qualified to meet the challenges of the position?

I think I'm qualified. I may have not been in the first policy of any country but I have enough experience as an organizer and as a freedom fighter against TOvers, like at eEgypt. I count on many people with experience in crucial fields such as defense, foreign affairs and economy, where I intend to act more as an organizer than as executor of policies.


* The internal elections led you to face last month candidate of our coalition, Mr. naldomj. In previous primaries he defeated elTripleD. Is not it an irony of fate that you now have defeated him with near the Triple of votes? xD (Note of the translator, this a joke related to the similarity of elTripleD nick and the phrase “the triple of” in Spanish)

It is a happy irony. I supported Naldomj in those elections; I felt it was his time, not mine. Now, I thought, and the people gave me the reason, that my time had come.


*Do you have confidence in victory?

I have complete confidence that we will win this election and recover control of our country. There is no alternative.


Any words to the Cuban People in addition to what was said in your program?

When the weaknesses of our community are shown is when the greater efforts have to be done.
Stand together, united in diversity, is a necessary condition for the liberation, of our country from internal and external forces.
I count on everyone to the upcoming presidential elections as well as anyone who wants to bring their work to the Government. I hope you will trust in me and count on me.
