eMalta Survey Results

Greetings fellow eRepublikans,
I recently carried out a survey for the Maltese Mission, hopefully some of you took part in it.
It has been out for 7 days, and we now have 20 responses. Thank-you to everyone who took part.
Here is a list of the questions asked and the responses to them:
1.) Did you know that there was a Maltese Mission trying to bring about the creation of an eMalta?
Yes - 15
No - 5
Basically 75% of people have heard of the Maltese Mission, which is really rather good I think.
2.) Did you know there are Maltese forums, found at emalta.go-forum.net?
Yes - 8
No - 12
Now this is not so great, but you need to take into consideration forums have only been in existence fr a short while.
3.) If an eMalta were created would you re-locate there?
Yes - 1
No - 8
Maybe - 11
Slightly disappointing, but we can appreciate that many of you are happy here and that making you commit to something you are unsure of is difficult.
4.) Answer this question only if you selected No or Maybe to the previous question.
If you aren't planning to move to eMalta or selected maybe to the previous question what reservations do you have for moving to eMalta?
The various responses were:
- Because I love my country Italy above all else, though since Malta is a former italian territory I may give it a shot. Irredentism anyone?
- What language will be spoken.
- Unsure of the what the country can provide me.
- I love Malta, been there in RL.
However, there are 2 other countries I consider home.
- The fact i am a mercenary.
- I like live in UK, but I may go someday, who knows.
- Language.

- they will be took over by Turkey, they will not last 2 months
- malta is cool
- I enjoy living in the eUK and I'm dedicated to that.
- I am settled quite nicely in my current nation of South Korea. However, I still do support the creation on eMalta.
- Depends on my position withing the eUK. I would not leave for malta if I where elected into congress.
- Cause i might go for a eHoliday but not to live there
5.) There cannot be an eMalta as it will be quickly tacken over by a larger nation

It's good to know that you consider that eMalta isn't hopeless as some i've questioned before thought.
6.) Multiple Choice:
What do you think could be done to stop eMalta from being conquered?
Have it so it cannot be attacked for several months so it can row in strength and citizens - 5
Have it's allies (such as eUK) send a permanent task force into eMalta to protect it - 11
Make eMalta a region of another country, such as Italy (Due to proximity to Malta), or UK (As Malta was a former colony in RL and because many Maltese currently reside in eUK - 8
Other - 7
Other responses include
- There is protection for a few months anyway, however funding to help start would also help!
- Sent a tempory task force to help out.
- Non Aggression Treaties
- eMalta can have allies, they may also send "a permanent task forew", if they'd like and if eMalta like it too. And If it is tacken over, you can 'row in strength and citzens' and then have a Resistance War you know.
- bribe the other counitres
- ESA.

Well it's good to know that some of you now that Malta is in the Med!

As a lot of you said, the correct answer is Valletta! But nice try to the guy who said St Juliens, i presume that's 'coz you've been there?

Go eMalta!
The probability of me moving is low due to my militray actvity, however I would like to move there sometime so prpare for an idiot lol
I would certainly move there and instigate one of its first businesses. I am Maltese by birth but British by passport so would love to be one of its e-founders.
I laughed at the person who would only move there 'as it was once Italian'.
Once it was, yes, but it has British history in government and culture slapped all over it. It drives on the left, it has a George Cross and it very nearly became part of Britain.
I can't wait for eMalta. It's the first thing I have been really entheusiastic about in eRep for a long time.
