Wow, es sind kaum 2 zwei Monate vergangen seit meiner letzten Kandidatur und doch hat sich so vieles geändert.

Um es gleich zu Beginn auf den Punkt zu bringen: Ich kandidiere für das Amt des Präsidenten.


Damit niemand sagen kann ich verheimliche etwas; zu aller Erst das Schlechte:
Ich spreche kein Deutsch. Und ja, ich müsste lügen, wenn ich sage das mich das nicht frustriert. Trotzdem denke ich, dass dies kein Hindernis für mich darstellt eine gute Präsidentin zu sein.
Zumal es mit Hilfe von Google-Translate kein Problem für michist, den Inhalt einer Nachricht zu verstehen. Und außerdem, wenn etwas interessant erscheint, habe ich doch genügend Leute die hilfsbereit sind und mir einen Artikel übersetzen. Des Weiteren ist das meiste Geschriebene und Gesprochene im Congress ohnehin auf Englisch und Deutsch; warum auch nicht, gibt es doch viele englischsprachige Einwohner in eGermany.
Ich würde nicht kandidieren, hätte ich Bedenken wegen dieser Sprachbarriere(die keine ist!).

Viele interessiert eventuell, dass ich auch im Real-Life nicht Deutsch bin, bzw. nicht in Deutschland wohne. Ich lebe in Virginia (USA). Dennoch hege ich keine Gedanken an die eUSA, nein, ich habe sogar stolz gegen sie gekämpft und war für eine Involvierung der eBundeswehr im Krieg gegen die eUSA. Warum? Naja, ganz einfach, ich bin in eBrandenburg geboren und IRL kommen meine Eltern auch aus Deutschland!

Okay, genug des „Schlechten“ auf zum Fun-Stuff!


Qualifications:
Ich bin Kongressmitglied seit 4 Monaten, eigentlich sogar 6, aber eine Mitgliedschaft wurde durch den PTO verhindert und beim letzten Mal saß ich auf dem Parteipräsidentensitz der PEACE-Party, so dass ein erneuter PTO verhindert werden konnte.
Unter den Präsidenten Starkad und Gobba war ich 4 Monate lang Aussenminister/stellv. Aussenminister. Meine Amtseinführung war so etwas wie der Sprung ins kalte Wasser, gaben doch die eSchweden erste Verlautbarungen von sich eDeutschland invasieren zu wollen. Klar, dass ich in diesem ersten Monat sehr viel gelernt habe und wertvolle Erfahrungen sammeln durfte. Diese Erfahrungen halfen mir dann auch, unsere komplette Aussenpolitik zu verändern und zu lenken.
Das wohl wichtigste ist jedoch, dass ich in dieser Zeit viele Kontakte zu wichtigen Leuten gepflegt habe, die in den höchsten Regierungspositionen dieser eWelt sitzen. Nicht zu vergessen, den letzten Monat war ich Vizepräsidentin und durfte schon reichlich Erfahrungen sammeln.

Nochmal: Unterschätzt nicht den Wert von Kontakten und Erfahrungen!

Nur ein paar der wichtigsten Angelegenheiten:

Der Vertrag mit Italien: Nur noch eine Zahlung am 12. September. Wir waren immer pünktlich mit unseren Zahlungen, das verschafft uns Respekt, nicht nur in eItalien. eDeutschland kann vertraut werden. Das tollste daran ist aber, dass wir nach diesen Zahlungen wieder über unser gesamtes Budget verfügen und mehr Spielraum haben, neue Dinge zu probieren. Ein Schritt nach Vorn! Vor allem auch militärisch, denn wie jeder weiss, mit mehr Geld können wir die Bundeswehr besser ausrüsten.

Warum denn nicht die DEM der PTU benutzen, die damals in unsere Kassen gespült wurde?
Ganz einfach: Es sind mehr DEM auf dem Bundesbankkonto als weltweit zirkulieren. Das bedeutet,
überschwemmen wir den eMarkt damit, wird die DEM drastisch an Wert verlieren, da die Companybesitzer ihr Geld in Gold umwandeln werden; die Folge wäre eine hohe Inflationsrate.
Deswegen muss unser Ziel heissen, Geld aus dem Markt zu entfernen, um den Wert der DEM wieder auf 1G:50 DEM zu bringen.
Aus diesem Grunde, werde ich einen Minister der Finanzen einsetzen, dem ich Vertraue, dieses für uns wichtige Amt auszuführen!

Noch einmal zur äußeren Lage. Viele Botschafter sind inaktiv und daraus mache ich auch kein Geheimnis. ZU sagen ist jedoch, dass ich nicht aufhören werde diesen wichtigen Bestandteil der Aussenpolitik weiter zu pflegen. So kam es in den letzten Tagen zu 5 Entlassungen und Neuanstellungen. Mit Hilfe des neuen Minister des Äußeren, wird es mein Ziel sein, mehr neue und motivierte Botschafter zu installieren.

PEACE oder nicht PEACE, dass ist hier die Frage? Doch was ist die Antwort? Ganz sicher: Pro PEACE. Doch dies liegt nicht in unserem Ermessen. Das PEACE HQ hat unsere Anfrage schon seit längerem auf dem Schreibtisch liegen und muss sich entscheiden. Ich werde weiterhin für einen Eintritt einstehen und den PEACE-Verantwortlichen auf den Zahn fühlen.

Zum Schluss das Wichtigste: Jeder neue Monat bringt neue Aufgaben mit sich – dieses Mal die erneute Wiedervereinigung aller eDeutschen Gebiete und die Restauration unserer Wirtschaft und das Abzahlen unserer Schulden.
Doch auch danach wird es weitere unerwartete Aufgaben und Gefahren geben. Also eDeutschland lasst uns gemeinsam diese Aufgaben bewältigen und den Gefahren geschlossen begegnen um sie zu bekämpfen.

Wow, it has been two months since I wrote my previous campaign article. So much has changed.

Just so there is no confusion, I am announcing that I will be a candidate for president in this election.

First off, I will get the bad stuff out of the way:
No, I don't speak German. I won't lie, this has been a bit of a frustration for me. However I don't think that makes it impossible for me to be president. Google translate works well enough for me to get a vague idea of what is being said, and if it looks interesting I haven't had any trouble getting a translation. Most of the government stuff has been done in English anyway, since I am not the only one that doesn't speak German. That being said, I would certainly not be running for president in Germany if I had any doubts about this.
I also don't live in Germany irl. Does this matter a whole lot? I guess it might to some people. I live in Virginia, USA. However, I have no loyalty to the USA in erepublik. I was in favor of sending the Bundeswehr to help invade the USA, and I proudly fought for Portugal when they invaded Virginia (lol). I started the game in Brandenburg, my parents are from Germany so I really wanted to be eGerman.

Ok, so now onto the fun stuff! 😛

Qualifications:
I have been a congress member for 4 months. It would have been 6 but I lost one to the PTO, and I couldn't run in the last one because I have to sit on this political party so the Poles don't get it again.
I have been minister / co-minister of foreign affairs for 4 months, with presidents Starkad and Gobba. I was given this position only a few days after Sweden announced intentions to invade us. It was a real shock to be made minister of foreign affairs when an ally is threatening to invade! I learned a lot that first month, and since then I have overseen the complete re-construction of our foreign policy. After all this time, I have accumulated many many useful contacts and friends in high government positions throughout the new world.
And I have been vice-president this month. With this I have some very important executive experience!
Don't underestimate the value of experience!

A few of many issues:

The contract with Italy. Is still not complete, the last payment is on September 12th and we will most certainly not be late! This has been a good opportunity to show the world that Germany can be trusted. After this is done, we will have a lot more money to play with and we can put more funds into making a respectable army!

I have heard a few comments from people wanting to use some of the DEM we recovered from the Polish Takeover Unit. The DEM sitting in the Bundesbank right now is (from the numbers I've heard) more DEM than is currently in circulation in the entire new world! If we dump that DEM into the economy, by buying weapons or moving tickets off the market, those companies will want to convert some of that DEM into gold, and our currency will massively inflate.
The natural value of the DEM, which it always returns to, is 50 DEM to 1 gold. Right now it is 60, so in order to fix that, we should be taking DEM out of circulation instead of spending it all. Of course we will need to use some tax money to keep the army alive, all this will be a lot easier once the deal with Italy is complete.
I will be appointing a minister of finance, since this is a very important and delicate issue.

Many ambassadors are inactive... sad but true, I have not made it a secret. I have been working very hard to fix this and will continue to do so. I just replaced another 5 ambassadors in the past few days here, I hope that that will help improve the situation. And along with the new minister of foreign affairs, we will have to come up with a way to get more new recruits.

As for whether or not we join peace. Congress is in favor of it, and I am in favor of it. Gobba has told all this to peace but we haven't received any reaction from them yet. We will have to check in with them again and see what is going on.


The most important thing, is that every month comes with a new set of challenges. This month it appears the challenges will be paying off the rest of our debts, getting our regions back, and securing the economy.
But I'm sure there will be unexpected challenges and unforeseen dangers -- we will meet those challenges and we will defeat those dangers!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce my new "Freiheitspartei" (which I'm told is the correct translation of "Freedom Party").
This party used to be called "PEACE Party" controlled by Poland, when their PTO was defeated I ended up in control of it and after some planning I have changed it to the newest German Party.

The party is founded on anti-imperialist viewpoints, declaring that all countries and people have the right to be free. It's different from the FDD in that the FDD deals more with social and economic freedom, whereas this focuses more on foreign affairs (emphasizing especially that PTOs in any form are very bad).
I encourage everybody to join it!
