I'm not complaining about anything. I'm just sharing what I've been through.

I honestly respect the rule, and I'm deeply sorry if this article offends someone/anyone.


And this is my story:


1. RL requirement for Citizenship approval

I remember it was around May 2019. I try to apply for eROC citizenship.



I almost forgot all the process to be accepted, but one thing I remember is that I have to take some "interview" first at discord (I forgot who interviewed me). Then, one of the main requirements to be accepted is that I have to show my real R.O.C (Taiwan) Resident Certificate (also called ARC - Alien Resident Certificate). And after I show my scanned ARC, I got immediately accepted.

But, to be honest, my first impression with the requirement was, "Wow, this eROC community is taking this game too seriously."

I know this game is built by nationality-based, but bringing Real Life requirement to play this game, my honest opinion was, it's too much.
But that's just me, and anyone can have their own opinion on this matter.

And Am I Complaining? Noup.

It was an easy requirement for me since I am living in Taiwan (which currently the safest place in the world from Covid-19) and holding an ARC, so it's not a big deal.

And there's a bit story behind that article.
I can't remember who is the eROC country president at that time, is it Bread100, Being X, or barryyin. But at that time, the current president is sending me an in-game message that He will give me some money if I write some articles. Probably one of The presidential programs, to make the news more active, by giving some incentive to the writer.
But at that time, I refuse to take any money for writing the article, because it's my own will to write an article, and basically, I like to write.


2. A foreigner can't run for congress

Being playing this game since 2008 (but hiatus for a few years), I have to agree with this rule, because in the old days, PTO (political take over) is one of the worst things that can happen to a Country.

But, that's are good old days. Days when this game is really hype.
Now? I don't know, are we being too strict with the rule and make the game more stagnant because of the strict rule, and at the same time, the game is losing more and more of its hype.
I don't know.

But I have my own story...

I'm a tycoon type player (I'm not sure what it's called) with main concern are doing Work as Manager and selling stuff in the market, and then converting local currency into gold, and continuously expand. That's it.

And suddenly, out of nowhere (though I already know that I can't win), I click run for congress, with the main objective is, only to get the gold (as typical tycoon player).
I don't have any hidden agenda for the congress position, just went straight to the gold. So, for the last 3-4 months, I click run for congress.

Actually, I was thinking like doing a gambling. Who knows, you might get lucky. You can get lucky if the congress candidate is too few, and the party got more vote, who knows?
I was gambling with a run for congress.

I never check the list for congress, because I already knew my position probably would be the last place. And in that 3-4 months, 24 hours after the election result, I'm not a congressman.

That's fine.

But last month, somehow, I felt different. Before the election started, out of nowhere, I try to see the list, which position of me in the congressmen list.
And it wasn't surprising at all. I was on no 24/24—the last position of the list.
But there is something more surprising than that.
No 23 is, some unknown player, with no profile picture, and the name was C000001717something.

And suddenly I was thinking, GOD, I was worse than a bot.

HAHAHAHA.

And then I realize, just for the shake of F*kin 5 Gold, I have to humiliate myself to a bot,

It's not worth it.

And from that moment, I promise to myself, not to run for congress anymore.




3. a Bad Joke

This is happening recently.

First of all, I'm deeply sorry about this Bad joke.

The story starts with when I realize that Battle Hero is cheap, at least compared with Sky Hero. It's cheap if we have some Power Pack and Blitzkrieg Pack. What I'm saying is, BH is cheap because this BH don't need Energy Bar. Just get your health full (which is 2x2870 for me), and use some 50% ground damage booster, create some damage with Q7, probably with full health, you can get 2-3 BH, depend on the battlefield.

And it becomes interesting for a tycoon player like me.

To be honest, I start playing from the year 2008, but so far only got 47 Battle Hero, and around 10 BH are obtained this week, which means that, actually, I don't have much knowledge about all this Training war farming.

But what I know that it happens several times, when I start trying to get a BH from a freshly opened battlefield, and after some few M damage, I see the same player, already faster than me, and looks like using an accelerator, and do around 70-80 and sometimes more than 100 M, which turn out that, ... She is, the ... Minister of Defense.

So, again, out of nowhere, I have some idea, to make some joke, in discord channel, in general-english-only, some joke about how fast MOD in a battlefield.
I put some emoticon below the joke, just to emphasize, it was a joke.



And, there's no response... at all. (And this is the time that I start to realize, ... probably, ... my joke is a Bad joke)


But sometime after that, which I didn't realize before, MOD sent me some msg via discord.



Tbh, at that time, my only concern from the msg is about how I moking her in the channel, and She was feeling offended with my word.

So, I reply with:



And after some time, and rereading the msg, I realize my mistake, not just the bad joke, but also for making low Damage (only 60 M) on a must-win battle.

I think I kind of remember what happened.

It was in early morning battle, and the battle was already run for more than 1 hour, and I see the other side already have around 110 M damage, and on Taiwan side just 1m, and 3m, which practically empty.
So, I was thinking, if I push all the wall with all my health, probably I can match up around 110M damage. Still, I'll be run out of health to do some work as manager when the day change, though I'm starting to like this battle game, I'm still a tycoon player, my daily activity is work as manager, and I don't want to miss it.

So, I do what I can do and giving 60 M damage, and probably, next stage, some others can take the initiative because I already run out of health.

So, that's my story.

Anyway, the MOD already reply to me again, and I hope everything is settled down now.




4. Becoming a captain

Not every story I've made is a bad story or have a bad ending.

At least, this one seems like a good one.

This happens around 5 months ago, and, for tycoon player like me, I just like to finish it all at once, work as manager (which for me, cost around 1500 health per work), and then, after some waiting for the health full up, or, if I'm in a hurry, and don't want to wait, I usually use some bazooka, to finish the military mission, and get some energy bar reward.

But sometimes, MU battle orders are not set.

I understand a lot of us have some other things happen in RL, and sometimes, MU battle orders are not set.

So, I made a shout in the MU chat.



And then, not for long, I can set up the MU Battle Order.

Yaaay....


Anyway, that's all my story, for more than a year becoming an eROC Foreign Citizen.
