Election Stats

Thought I'd give you all a few stats about the CP elections that have occurred since the start of last year.

Larni received 124 of the 238 votes cast or 52.1% of the total vote this past election. This is the highest % of votes received by one candidate in the past 14 elections where there has been 4 or more candidates running. Only when there has been 3 or less candidates running has a candidate received a higher % of the total vote. The lowest winning % received was srg91 in December 2011 with a mere 38.39% of the total vote, but he also had to contend with 4 other candidates. The highest was received by Majester in August 2011 with 80.09% of the total vote. He had it easy then though. He only had 1 opponent, and Majester had the backing of the GnG, ANP, AI and ACP.

This was the 3rd election won by the AI since the start of last year, bringing it equal with the APP as the 2nd most successful party during this time period. The most successful party for this same period is the ANP with 4 elections won.

This month's total votes cast was well below the period average of 282 votes cast. However it is right on par with the 6 month average of 237.83 votes. Australia suffered a significant drop in votes during the first quarter of last year (Sir_c0nstant's CP terms) losing ~120 voters.

Now its getting late and I've already been looking at these numbers for too long. If you're lucky, I might actually continue to do something like this each election. I believe it was H.Nelson that used to do this, and did a much better job at it. So someone should go bug him to re-start his election stats.
