eJapan and eTaiwan (1)
Chise E Tamai
Man, I am tired.
It has been so frustrated these days in trying to sort everything out; you know, between Taiwan, Korea, and us.
You wonder what had been happening?
Yeah sure. Why not. If you want.
I will warn you that it's very complicated. Of course it is.
All readers - it is your decision on how you would want to use these information. I have wrote it, perhaps as a summary of knowledge, or a something that people who are interested with foreign relation with Taiwan can refer upon later in their days.
As some have pointed out (plus that's how I feel, too), the lack of information or knowledge on them had been something that is almost detrimental in trying to form a peaceful relationship with them. I will go on and talk about what my researches had discovered, but additional knowledge or comments are welcomed. Really, it's not that I don't want to talk about it; it's just so huge, that I do not know where I should start from.
Umm. Yeah. OK, so here it goes.
=
What is Taiwan?
Well, Taiwan is a nation, that exist on this earth, that perhaps loves Japan the most, more than anyone nation that you can find.
Yeah, I know you are beginning to want to throw me eggs. It doesn't sound convincing, judging by how they have fucked us in these days, and still having our areas occupied, right?
Don't worry. I will go on, and tell you how I have arrived to the conclusion. However, before I continue, I will tell you one thing - this particular article has more to do with Taiwan in RL, not Taiwan in eRep. It is the RL emotions that they have, that had driven them and us to the point we are today.
I will start by citing a few paragraphs, written in Japanese, that describes how Japan see Taiwan in RL (source? Eh, nico nico pedia.)
Who are they? They are an island nation of Asia, located on the east side of the pacific ocean, being geographically close to Japan, having had histories of been a Japanese colony, with some of its oldest generation having received Japanese education, who love and respect the Japanese culture in every degree.
So, we have these people.
They got into the game.
They see that Japan is on the map.
They happily went clicking on the Japanese newspapers, searched for Japanese players, to see if anything that resemble the Japan they know is present.
They didn't see it.
Instead of the Japanese language, in which most of the Taiwanese has some degree of familiarity with, they saw that eJapan is a community, that has its environment full with English speaking users. To make make matter worse, eJapan at the time of the Taiwanese baby boom, was mainly composed of people who have had held low opinions of China, Taiwan, and call them "Kazawan" or "puppet of China".
Their first reaction?
"Fuck you PTOers, you have stolen Japan!"
That's where everything started.
They love Japan, but they don't like eJapan.
Comments
Not voted, completely misleading from someone who wasn't even around for old eJapanese history where Taiwan and Japan both worked together to rid South Korea of Romanian PTO'ers. Nice try though.
I actually was around when Romanians were still in South Korea. It will come, and that's why I put (1) on this article.
Oh, and your response is the reason why I haven't said much so far; everybody view things in different way, and once you start say something, people would jump out, point at you, and say "you are misleading..not even having been around to know the history!".
Duh. Fro someone who hasn't even been around to deal with the Taiwanese for all these months during the occupation?
I don't think there is strong RL sentiment fueling their action. If anything, it's more like a fabricated reason created after they did what they want to do, that is to increase their national productivity.
eTaiwan has always looked as eJapan and eSK for production boost, and have in the past tried very hard to force us into giving then some regions (Which when eJapan still had leadership in place, we were able to mitigate).
Things get very, very complex with all the double and triple dealing and large servings of nationalism (who should have seen all the accusations of PTOs by eROCer and eROKers, just because eJapan was initially multicultural). Everyone will see the situation differently, and to say this article is misleading is in itself misleading.
@Akki
The reason of looking for bonus is around. However, I would still believe that there is a strong RL sentiment that fuel their action. The reason is that, I have seen them doing many things that are not economically logical, not to the best of their benefit or pocket, but yet can only be explained by RL action.
The fact that eChina is next door also supports this - any Taiwanese who only look for bonus have the freedom to just jump over to eChina.
@Akki (con'd)
These people have been suggesting that "eJapan should get more population" from the very beginning. Such phrase would never come from someone who simply want eJapan to be screwed. The worst you can call them on this matter, is being racist.
This game is not RL. By this I mean, they are paying gold to have their RL motivation satisfied, not paying gold to gain those useless in-game bonus. In RL, economy is a life-or-dead matter; in this game, people override economy with visa.
'Taiwan is a nice country, they love Japan IRL, but they hate eJapan, so let them do whatever they want."
They have to learn that the entire population of eJapan cannot control these individuals that say the insulting(?) words towards eRoC peopl. It is impossible, also we should not be responsible for what these individuals say as well because, this is a democratic country, therefore freedom of speech is allowed throughout the entire ecountry AND game,unless Plato makes his rounds of course...
my advice to them....deal with it.
No offense to the Taiwanese population at all, but it's the truth.
Voted
do you consider this as a MoFA report??? if yes i really hope it will have some extensions in next part...
if no, wouldnt it be better that you start to write MoFA reports(there should be at least three per month), and start the work in your MoFA office??
so people can see that we have MoFA and that he/she is active, it would be good to start recruit ambassadors, and send them to contact foregin contries, to establish good relations with other countries, there are many things to do in eJapan
Nice article , you focused more on the real Taiwan rather than the eTaiwan . I want to emphasize that the Taiwanese do respect the Japanese. After the Earthquake in Japan last year, Taiwan gave Japan the largest amount of aid in the world. They even had celebrities reaching out to raise money for victims of the quake. Besides that the Taiwanese government also allowed families to take refuge in their country despite everything that's happened in the past between them.
As for in-game relations, that's a whole other story.
Why isnt there a MoFA office on our officialy forum??? it is unacceptable that the MoFA dosnt exists under Ministries and Offices thread
I also agree Yataisi comment.
MoFa reports from you would be nice. Not forcing you of course, but just saying that it will be nice plus it will make good media activity if you're willing to report in articles.
I saw more Japan's language in eROC newspapers, compared to eJapan newspapers. Sometimes, a part of Japanese manga.
When I saw it, I think I want eJapan to become friends with that country.
Well, also because of my interest in China and Taiwan culture.
But,many people tell me that only eSK was eJapan's friend. Maybe it was because danyeo is the friend of eJapan's past government. That is, same people who insult eJapan's president, call Taiwan instead "Kazawan", leave Japan during bitter day.
Wait hold on a f***ing second, this our MoFA? God help Japan, because this puppet surely isn't.
nice story. waiting for next part. voted
go back to your island you kazawanese, gott strafe taipei, we will liberate japan!
I'm sorry for these taiwanese...
I like as much China and Taiwan as Japan. It is unfortunate that eJapan will maybe do war again with eTaiwan. I know a little Japanese language and my Chinese don't permit me to write articles. So I use English language but I think it is more easy for every body because we are multicultural ecountry.
eTaiwan want be a powerful country in this game so they want eJapan bonus. Unfortunately it is a war game...
This analysis is much appreciated. I feel like I have a more complete picture of the situation now.
^ Can't tell if srs or trolling
@Yatashi & Rice
Yeah, I will extend it.
The major difficulty in making a report is that, different people hold different point of views. By this I mean one person from Taiwan can tell you things in one way, another person in Taiwan describe it another way, a third person from Japan would then say a different story again, vice versa. To make a MoFA report would mean that I have officially sealed and concluded the issue, which is not true. Consider this as a midterm analysis.
@Serbia
Neh, they have their part of being an asshole of. But even with that, you would still look into their motivation, or else you would have no clue as to how to deal with them.
It's true for the last sentence.
