eIrish Boot Camp--One of eIreland's Greatest Institutions

Day 1,615, 14:52 Published in Ireland Ireland by Engineer0

I write to you all today to provide a little inside view of the eIrish Boot Camp.

I joined erepublik on February 29th, 2012, and immediately joined the eIrish Boot Camp when I saw it listed as a military unit.

Once I joined, I was immediately taken care of. Irasian and Lexone showed me guides and answered questions I had. Malbekh ensured that I had weapons and food everyday, then sent out message to MUs letting them know I was ready to be part of a true MU, and his awesome attitude is one of the reasons why I think I’ve stuck with this game. I could tell that the three of them all wanted each and every newb to pass through past the rank of commander and graduate the Boot camp, eager and excited about what this game has to offer.

The eIrish Boot Camp is truly one of eIreland’s best institutions. Provided with weapons and food everyday, as well as quick answers to any questions I could think of, I began exploring and liked what I saw within this game. This scenario is what needs to happen with each of our newbs if we hope to become an ever more successful and powerful country. It could easily not be the case, as I’m sure it is in many countries.

First, our government and community needs to continue and expand the support for the eIrish Boot Camp. There are still many parts of the game that I don’t understand, and some writing not just on the mechanics of the game would have been extraordinary. A history on the alliances, or narratives of some of eIreland’s best and worst days could capture even more newbs into progressing with the game. Or maybe a list of newspapers around the world that consistently publish great articles that will teach newbs more about the game.

I’ve seen many newbs squirreled away in the regiments of bigger MUs, and I propose that ALL commanders of MUs send newbs to the eIrish Boot Camp. Bigger MUs, like the ICA and IA, simply don’t have the manpower or patience to teach brand new newbs
the very basics of the game. But graduates from the Boot Camp will know how to fight and have a good understanding of the game, something invaluable to these same commanders.

And as a regular citizen, why not shoot off a quick message to any new citizen you see? Send them a quick friend request and ask them how they’re getting along and what they think so far. And include some of the famous eIrish charm 😃. Getting a dozen messages from experienced and eager-to-help veterans would certainly improve our retention rate.

Finally, I’d like to thank the great players Irasian, Lexone, moomoohead and especially Malbekh, who do the thankless but crucial task of educating noob after noob. And thanks also to the generous donors who give food and weapons to the Boot Camp in hopes of keeping young eIrish babies in the game. The unique culture that has been created in the Boot Camp is priceless and is one of our e-nation’s greatest treasures.

As Always,

E0
