eIreland forwards

Day 1,164, 03:30 Published in Ireland Ireland by Nephworks

I am writing this article to tell you how happy I am with how things have been going in eIreland lately. There have been some hiccups but it's nothing we can't handle. In my opinion things are looking up for eIreland and here is why:

The Irish Army:

We finally have a military force that is organized and is getting stronger everyday. I have never changed my avatar once in the 400+ days I have played this game but as you can see now I am proudly displaying the IA uniform. This might not seem like a big deal to many but it is to me. My avatar of Val Kilmer playing the character of Doc Holiday was a part of my citizen and how I was recognised. now I am recognised as being part of the Irish Army and it does look sweet on the battlefield when you see the green white and orange repeatedly hitting for ourselves and for our allies. EDIT: Now I get the best of both worlds! \o/ Cheers Connell.

Our supply structure has gone from handing out batches of 150 IEP to supply yourself into a force to be reckoned with. We can now supply food and weapons of varying quality to our soldiers as any self respecting military nation should be able to do.

I realise it may not be apparent to citizens who are not as actively involved in the IA or even in eIreland but from where I am standing things are looking much better. This is a game based heavily on warfare and we are getting better at it.

The Government:

We did not have a smooth start to this term but as long as the IA keeps on track as it is then I will consider this term a success. The current administration has done well with just a few hiccups along the way. Nothing we can't handle though.

The deals for the South east and Shannon are secured and look promising. It is a pity the natural enemy rule with Canada could not safely get us the free war but I believe this rental agreement will benefit eIreland and eCanada in the long run. We are closer to our allies in the Americas and have a new source of gold for the treasury. I have listened impartially to both sides of the arguments put forward by those who are against the rental and those who are for it and I find myself sided completely with those who support the rental. This is unusual for me because I rarely find myself so comfortably leaning one sided in a debate such as this. This rental agreement seems to benefit us and our allies.

The People:

I am proud of the progress we have made but I still see the sniping comments and aggressiveness which used to divide our country in months gone by...... and to be honest I wouldn't have it any other way. Often these comments and articles only cause divide and offer no constructive benefit. If there is one sentence from this article you remember it is this: You need a tough skin and a mature mind if you want to help eIreland. Don't let the frustrating sniping comments get to you because they will keep coming. Likewise, respond maturely and it will stand to you in the long run. Even if it means taking a deep breath before replying.

It is important to keep an eye on those in power and question their motives and actions. Like many other nations, we have been the victims of so many robberies that it is difficult, sometimes, not to assume the worst of peoples motives and actions. I have suffered these crimes as much as many of you but they are in the past now. I have put my faith in the current administration and the Irish Army to continue this progressiveness. I will work for eIreland as best I can. o7
