EDITION 05: New Party President and Part Merger

Prior to the recent Party President elections, debate was held on if the eRepublik Alliance (ERA) should seek to merge with another party.

The feeling at the time was too many of the good talent in eAustralia was spread out, especially in the smaller parties.

There had been a mini-merger before between the ANI (Australian New Ideas) and TBP (True Blue Party), but in the end the ANI name stands and the TBP is no more.

The most popular choice for a merger among ERA members, was that of the PaPP. Bass Junkie (last PaPP PP) had addressed and answered questions from the ERA in our forums leading up to the last Prime Minister elections and gave permission for the ERA to field candidates under the PaPP banner in the last senate elections.

Since the recent Party President elections, the PaPP has been take over by an Iranian player, thus many believe it has been PTOed.

Discussion in the last 24 hours between ERA Party President James Rellori and Bass Junkie, have seen an agreement reached where active PaPP members are being encouraged to now cross over to the ERA in a partial merger, as similar to that of the ANI and TBP.



For the first time since Cozza became Prime Minister in December 2009, the ERA has one of it's own running for Prime Minister.

One of the Party's founding members CrowdedHouse, raised the idea back in April of making a run for Prime Minister in June.

Last week he asked for the Party's official endorsement and received 100% support from the forum members, therfore new Party President James Rellori hit the button and endorsed CrowdedHouse.

CrowdedHouse has big shoes to fill, as the last ERA Prime Minister, Cozza, was the first Australian Prime Minister to lead the country during a war and sucessfully kick out an invasion during his term in office.



Senate (Congress) Elections are just around the corner.

Australia's original "Game Mechanics" party, eRepublik Alliance (ERA), are looking for active members to run for senate flying the ERA banner.

If you have a thirst for politics, jump onto the ERA Forums and voice your interest.

So far we have Lewis Taylor, an ERA Member and member of the Crimson Devils putting his hand up to run - we wish him the best of luck (we'll have more on Lewis at a later date).



There are currently two vacancies with the ERA Party.

1) General Manager of ERA Diamonds.

Currently run by Gordon Lightning, he has been absent from the game for a little while, so we are looking for someone to take over the business.
This wll be great experience for any citizen who hasn't been able to afford to buy a company, to get to learn how to run one, before deciding whether they will buy there own.

2) ERA Party Public Relations Manager

In the interests of giving everyone a go at a different role, CrowdedHouse has been on the look-out for someone to take over from him as ERA Public Relations Manager.
If you think you can write a good detailed newsletter, why not give it a go?
Even if your editing skills are a little scratchy, you'll be taught how to include images, different fonts, etc.. to make an eye catching newsletter.
