When Sweden conquered Lorraine, around 14:40 erep time, and was about to enter the next battlefield our treasured president Danny found that the buttons to enter the battlefield were removed. He had earlier this day seen the buttons at their right place, all in its order. Now how could these buttons disappear just like that? Sure, a bug, some might say. But if you remember what admin wrote in their latest Erepublik Insider article you might found this a little more odd: ” On the 9th and 10th of December, eRepublik will participate in the '08 edition of Le Web, the #1 Internet event in Europe.”
That means that the Erepublik developers is about to present their product in Paris this week. Unfortunately the World War happened to break open this week and France happened to end up in the middle of the assaults. Alexis Bonte, one of the founders of Erepublik, is French by the way.
So how come that the buttons for the war module just disappear for the presidents’ just the day before a presentation of Erepublik in France? Is there a simple bug at a really convenient moment for the admins cause, or could it perhaps be that admin is intervening in the game, that they deliberately remove the vital functions for the war module during these days of marketing in Paris?
I have, of course, no fact for this, but the timing for a bug like this is just too unrealistic to don’t be a conscious action. Admin should ONLY, and then I mean ONLY, remain order and develop the game. Intervening in the game just because it fit them better is not accepted! We play a game all by the rules and we do it well, when they suddenly decides to enter the stage to play God! This is NOT accepted!
Rise up, my fellow Erepublikans! Protest against admins interference! The rules should be valid for everyone, no matter what the developers does IRL! Vote this article up and show admin and the eWorld your dissatisfaction by this shameful move of admin!

Obviously there was a rule that prevented countries under attack from attacking. By some reason RWs was counted as an attack which prevented Sweden from enter the battlefield last night. Admin have now fixed this issue and I thank them for doing this. I would also like to thank all of you who voted which attracted Admins attention to look over this issue. I feel rather satisfied that we actually could make a change this time, and I admire admins quick solution and work. We all did a great job and affected a change to the better. Once again, thank you all and well done! Keep voting this up as a thank to admin and all of those who voted to make this possible!

I hope the admins have a damn good explanation for this, or I swear it right now, I will quit the game. If admins can come in and play god the whole point of the game, and thus the fun, is gone. And so am I.

USA can still atack, so it's a bug.
Alexis Bonte meddles with the game mechanics, furious gamers retaliate by dismantling eFrance, in the process burning huge piles of gold, making mr. Bonte happy. Win-win. Of course, someone leaves the game over the issue, but that's largely irrelevant.
@niouton: You have a point regarding that the game mechanism is wrong when a single guy can beat an army. That is just one of many "strange" things with Erepublik.
But face it, this is still a "Beta" even if they have decided to call it v1. We are all playing the the way the rules and features make us. Right now we have decided to attack France according to the features in the game. When this feature is removed suddenly for one country that is a HUGE flaw/bug that makes people give up their hope on the game developers.
War is an important feature in Erepublik, this war is a farse as goes for the reputation of the game!
Oh, and give Sweden WOOD back or we'll just have to take it!

If this is true it is the proof of an enormous lack of spine and character on behalf of the Erepublik decision makers. Shameful.
I strongly objected against our shameful invasion of France, yet I am not pleased by this course of events. It is not the admins place to intervene in the game for their own gain.
But lets hope against hope that this will give us Swedes time to reconsider and realise that this invasion was wrong to begin with.
The admins think of themselves of being Gods of eRepublik, I presume. Sure, the USA has the button, but the USA didn't develop the game, right ?

Seriously though, give them a break. They need investments more than pleasing a bunch of gamers who are never satisfied.
I suppose we would be more satisfied if there were no bugs and someone actually took the time and effort of informing us users about the new rules BEFORE they are implemented. It's almost like the admins make a string of code and if not everything works as planned, they don't actually fix the code but change the rules so that it seems the code works as intended.

How is it even technically possible that a RW makes the invasion buttons disappear? Those two things should be completely unrelated. I can't even imagine how the code could be unintentionally written so that this could happen.
