Eden emerges victorious as SA liberated, Rhone Alps secured.

Day 854, 16:39 Published in USA USA by Sossu

Finally Eden, which has been torn by internal diferences and awkward public quarrels mostly in the media of the United States, after many member nations have felt their efforts are either undermined or they do not receive enough help in their own war efforts, has emerged victorious and managed to resolve several crisis around the world, some of them just for a short breathing time, others for possibly a very long time giving Eden an serious advantage over certain fronts in the war versus Phoenix.

The epic battle for Rhone Alps flops.

This battle, considered to be the main event on day 854, didn’t manage to amuse us as the Poles with the help of over a thousand allied soldiers kept the wall high above the secure line during the entire battle. This battle was even suspected to be a diversion, as Phoenix did not tank at all on the first day of the battle, implying they were trying to divert Eden’s damage from another attack, possibly against Croatia. This however did not happen and eventually the full potential of Phoenix’s daily damage wasn’t used to anything, and Eden was able to both secure the region of Rhone Alps and also gain victory in South Africa.

The battle was huge with way over 10 million damage spent, but from a strategic angle it had little to no strategic importance. Before the battle was ended, Hungary begun to move towards Rhone Alps via the Slovenian land bridge through Italy, but it’s travels were quickly cut down by a RW started by an Eden citizen in Lombardy, a region Hungary later accidentally attacked, bounding Slovenia to a 24h block. Poland however cannot take responsive actions as a RW was started in the region of Provenze Alps Azur, where Slovenia also later attacked bounding Poland as well to a 24h block. This will give breathing time to all parties attending to the war for Rhone Alps, and apart from minor harassment fights no significant military action should happen in Central Europe before noon eRepublik time on day 855.

Poland is trucking their citizens to Rhone Alps to raise the cost of starting the battle and the initial wall at significant speed. Also lots of Allied help arrived to fight for Poland, as the population of Poland jumped from 57,000 to 59,000 in one day. Take out the 1300 new citizens born in Poland and you come up with a four-digit number of Allied soldiers in Poland helping them in their fight against Phoenix.

The cost to attack Rhone Alps is currently over 2200 Gold, and the inital wall is already 1,3 million as the population of Rhone Alps is only 400 citizens away from reaching 9000. This will make it an extremely hard and expensive task for Phoenix to try and topple Poland out from their sources of wood even with their active MPP😒 with Serbia and Russia.

South Africa freed at the the final moment in a bizarre series of battles.

Eden mobile forces, unneeded in Rhone Alps where Phoenix decided to not to challenge a wall of 1,7 million, were given a new assignment to liberate South Africa in order to give them a free election and give them the control of their country back on the 25.th. Finally the Eden’s mobile forces, who have recently been in tatters, showed their true force and drove Brazil out from the region of Northern Cape, a future titanium region.
Another, nearly succesful battle in the region of Gauteng was started, and this battle became to be one of the most bizarre battles I’ve ever been a part of. Firstly things went like they normally do, Eden tanked a wall of 200k down to -8k and already declared themselves victorious, until the wall quickly rose despite furious resistance, and after an intense overtime of 5 minutes the region was secured by Brazil. What makes this normal situation so curious is that both actions, tanking the wall down and tanking the wall up, were done by Allied forces. This seemingly insane act is actually pretty clever move, as now when SA has only 1 region, they can protect themselves much easily from a PTO than with 2 regions, as with only 1 region they will have a congress of 10 seats, compared to a congress of 20 seats with 2 regions.

South Africa is free, and after they manage to build a hospital, impeach the puppet president and set up their government and military, they can declare wars on both Argentina and Brazil and in future block them and thus invaluably help Australia to liberate the rest of this hard-lucked country. Should things cool off in Europe, Eden will surely concentrate their attention to the Southern Hemisphere of the World.

Time to put Finland to rest.

Finland managed to keep the wall in the battle for Northern Russia in underground for most of the battle, but after Rhone Alps ended, Phoenix nations quickly concentrated their fire power to Russia, resulting in a crushing defeat for Finland. Russia took countermeasures immidiately and attacked the regions of Oulu, Eastern Finland and Leningrad Oblast, which was claimed by Finland after Russia retreated it in order to get the initiative for sure.

Finland, suffering from apathy and decreasing population for months is trying to seek a baby boom by letting the RL-nemesis of Russia to invade them. Finland has not signed a MPP with Poland, but that could be a waste of cash though as Finland launched an overwhelming set of 21 MPP😒 after attacking Russia, enough to wipe the small nation from the face of earth.
Therefore it’s very likely we see an attack on Western Finland tomorrow and ultimately attacks on Aland and Lapland the next days, erasing Finland from the map. The Finnish military has companies to keep it working even under occupation, and already today over two hundred Finns live in Spain and other countries as expats, and this number will be likely to rise, so we can gain enough resources to mount a succesful RW campaign against Russia if we ever get a babyboom.

Overall today was a success for Eden despite the loss of Finland, which was however intended so they could get a babyboom, and Eden will certainly see a spike in team spirit and friendship after these tasty victories over Phoenix.
