What is Economy?
The months that i have been playing the game, i read the same thing from 99% of the players. “FIX ECONOMY”. So , what is economy for you ? Sitting in your couch and earning money by just doing some clicks? Is this what you do in real life? If you answer is “Yes” then just do not read beyond this paragraph. How can someone be self-suficient?
Many people believe that creating companies is the way to be self-sufficient in this game. “Yeah , it is true” . But where are you gonna find the 650g that are needed to build the Q7 company? “Will you be self-suficient with that?”The only way to be self-suficient in this game is to be flexible. learn to play with the marketplace, buy and sell , do not start with over confidence but try to win, make good deals and find trusted players to trade with, it is gammbling after all. I would also like to note one thing i forgot "you cannot have profit along with tanking, it is profit or tanking , not both "What about new players?
Now you will propably think “Ok, say that i can do it cause i have funds, what about the new player?”. Well myt friend, when you learn how to fo it, instead of tanking all your profits, help the new players , give them food , tanks,if they prove themselves to you upgrade their training grounds[Which is more up to the goverm.to give loans to new plaears to upgrade the training grounts.i meen its a must] and teach them how to do it later on. Economy is fine.
I do not expect that all of you can do it and even less can have huge profits but at least try and do not be lazy complaining all the time to the admins to fix the economy. My personal opinion is that the economy is fine. Just like in real life , not everyone can be rich , i am good at mercandising , you are good at engineering and he is good at painting. I remember when 1gold was 3,000cc...weapons were expensive as well but the price of gold covered your needs. Now weapons are high and gold is low...very bad combination.
The reason a lot of people shout to fix the economy was that in V1, if you had a company, you could make enough money to support yourself as well as another player. These days it's darned near impossible to do both at once, and quite difficult to afford to tank regularly unless you are an older player with several companies.
Our Govt used to be able to afford to support it's own Military, and do it well. These days, the Govt has barely enough to support a few newbs. Govt owned companies are sitting in Govt Orgs mouldering away, because there is not enough space in the Orgs for the companies to be used. It's a shame that game admin screwed over our national orgs and companies this way.
If newer players need supplies, they should join an MU that offers supplies for working in a commune. This is about the only way that MUs can afford to supply now, unless the Commander is dipping into his or her own pocket in RL to support the MU.

which is part of the point, the admins didnt destroy the economy from their perspective, they simply made it work to their advantage
it forces outside intervention to be functional, (ie gold buying) unless you take the very very very long route of building up companies over months and years
The only way to be successful in this game is to spend RL money. I don't understand why people whinge about doing this. Erep is a company these guys aren't going to run this game for free. We live in the real world where people like to get paid for the work they do. You're right Al, nothing wrong with the economy. Just a gaggle of whiners to stingy to fork up $15/month for the combat stash. If they did this then no governments would need to support their citizens and older citizens could easily help out 1 or 2 younger ones if needed.
You are wrong there mate, it is an online game like many others if you spend RL money u can get stuff easier, but making impossible for the others to enjoy without doing that is just stupid. I played several online games and I could be on the top guys without spending money in it. They(and us also as there is no supply without demand) made it like this. When I started this game I could not afford to pay any money for this game, it is not just for adults with a job, it is for everyone, encourage kids to buy anything here for RL money is a very bad idea in my opinion.
All of the social parts of this game are still free. Companies, rm, food and weapons aren't. If you wanna have fun, write some articles, role play in politics you can do all that for free. If they make the other stuff free too then the game dies. You know as well as I do that a lot of people who play this game expect to play totally for free. The only way a game survives if that is the case is sell ad space all over the site. Anyone expecting to play this all the time for free is just being ridiculously selfish. I guarantee they don't get up and go work for free each day.
What is being requested is for the economy to be able to allow players to at least be able to sustain themselves. Many who would join this game are not adults with the ability to pay constantly. The economy is what allows food and weapons to be bought and sold. The need for food and weapons is greater than politics in most scenarios.

Even this guys says in his article to buy the weapon stash combo but don't buy gold packs. Sound advice.

That is a load of shite, Plato does not anymore perma-ban all multi makers. If they buy gold then all he does is punish them by taking loads of assets off them as a punishment, this in turn puts added pressure on others since these multiers cannot make any money as they are in negative CC and are constantly asking for hand-outs (yes, everyone has the choice to so no but if you didn't know they were making multis and felt they were doing it hard you would help another player)
Plato has manipulated the game to turn a dollar without thinking about how many others would actually pay to have enjoyment in the game rather than the crap he is offering now
This game is rubbish. It's not worth $15 a month. I do pay for games that I enjoy and I've put some RL cash into this game, including spending on our forum, but the game isn't worth $15 a month the way it is now.
You don't make money unless you have a quality product that is easy for all levels of play.
the only reason erep makes money is because of nationalism mixed with gold buyers v gold buyers
or in the case of some nations gold buyers v multis which arent banned by admins because profit is made

i thing always the products are more than the demant ,were the prices drope ,basic economy if the the demant is 1+ then the market is ok ,now the adm does severall trikcs because has to take out alot of the prodact if you are alert whith mercandicy you make some cc thats all. an examble the tickets for free ,and still are cheap .we dont have to forget all that game need money to stay alive some one has to pay the electricity ,the game now and then needs money to survive ,if you want to be the first you pay .i speak apout the the mercand abilitie
