Economy and Military and Countries, Oh My

Today, I contacted the admins to ask about them adding new countries to the game. This is the response I got:

You can interpret that how you want, but basically this article will tell you what I see in it.


New Economy Module
Yay! They have finally listened to the players and they will be changing the economy module. It might soon as well, since the message I got said the module was "planned".

- "Not all of the real world's countries are in eRepublik. New countries will not be added until the planned upgrades to the war and economic modules are completed."
- "The analysis of adding new countries to the New World will be restarted this autumn."

The economy module should also be introduced before or around autumn, as the analysis of new countries will happen in autumn, and new countries will arrive after the economy module.


The current economy isn't looking too good.

New Military Module
Strategy? This is something which will improve the military module greatly. I don't know what they add but all I can think of it being is something strategic. Like the economy module, the military module could be arriving soon, and has been planned by the admins.

New Countries
This is why I contacted the admins. Basically, we could see new countries being added to the game at the start of next year. They don't know which countries will be added yet but the decision will be based on the following criteria:
"The following information is considered when adding a new country:
* players' interest in the country
* number of visits from that country to eRepublik
* geographical position of that country (connections with other countries)
* real life stats about that country (political regime, Internet users, etc)"

The decisions will begin in autumn:
"The analysis of adding new countries to the New World will be restarted this autumn."
