eCenk for WTP Congress?

I almost wanted to title this "Month Two" and continue my Road to Being Better series, but I'll leave that for when it's actually my 2nd month. For what it's worth, this and the "Month Two" articles will probably read something similar.

But, yes, I'm going to attempt to run for Congress despite being relatively young on eRep. I was going to wait until the next time around, but why not? I'm having fun using the media element of this game and even if I don't win, it'll be a good judge of how far I can get as of right now.

Damn near all of the current WTP congressmen are long time vets. I don't know if anyone who's not currently in Congress for WTP are running, so I figured I would. Competition's healthy. You don't win championships without beating lesser teams.

Campaign Platform

Seeing as I'm running for a position in government, this question is fundamental: What can I offer you as an eAmerican citizen?

Primarily, transparency and being a receptive congressman. Assuming I get into Congress, whether it be this election or one down the road, I plan to keep my voting record and other actions written down. Once I get said voting record/list of actions, I'll include that in future campaign articles.

That's not to say that list would be very long initially. In accordance to all the research I've done on being a congressman, our eUS constitution, current Congress laws, and anything else I've read that's relevant... I understand being trigger happy isn't productive for anyone.

Being in congress is essentially being a part of a team. Organization and execution are important, and if elected, I'll play my role. I'll have to mostly sit back and take some notes for the majority of my first term.

While my youth on eRep commands many questions regarding qualifications for Congress and knowledge, I have done a pretty significant amount of research into the eAmerican government. I still have much to learn and with time, I'll be able to disregard those questions.

However, my youth also commands many positive qualities. I have no ties to anyone or any party in this game. In other words, I have no biases in any direction. Also, my youth brings about a fresh perspective into our government (which is always a plus... unless the government's fully made of noobs).

Enough with promises and stating qualities I find to be potential assets for Congress. I'm going to wrap up my campaign article with facts.

BOOM! Facts

I began playing eRepublik on June 3rd of this year. 45 days ago. I have the Hard Worker accomplishment with 16 days into level two. I've managed to find some time for this game every day since starting, probably because it's pretty damn awesome.

I've won 4 Battle Heroes, and am currently sitting on level 5 True Patriot. Nationally, I'm ranked 3434th (as of right now). In total, I caused 4,225,878 damage points for the eUSA. I've only used 7 small bombs for the Mass Destruction Weapons category.

On average, I cause 93,908.4 damage points a day. Relatively respectable with my eRep youth. In other words, I've been putting all my effort into eUSA and have been doing some work. Which is why I want to be YOUR congressman. To put in work in different ways and be able to directly help our country prosper.
