This is my first article, and since i'm not much of a writer don't expect too much xD
So yeah, this is what i think
First of all, we all know the card spoland played on us/brazil. Come out of teden, aren't you sick of balkan wars? oh heck, so are we let's make a new anti-balkan alliance.
Now what did this do? It weakened terra, therefore eden as well. Now, we all know spoland will never ever hit in a fight against serbia/hungary...period. And they probably will play the us into getting them to not hit against serbia/hungary as well. So what is going to happen? Because of the mercenary group, nemesis, which f***ed up brazil-romanian relations, brazil in the balkans is going to hit full damage against romania.
One word for brazil, romania sent military units to save ur a@@ about a week ago from paraguay, but did you know that? neeeew, because the media played you and enhaced your hate towards romania 100x more because of some 30-40 players which the romanian government had nothing to do with them.
And there was somebody(romanian) which gave you clear 5-step instruction, easy as pie, on how to block a possible attempt to PTO. Now i know you shouldn't have to deal with this, but this is the situation and if you have as decent strategic/political power as you claim, it should be easy.
Now, back on the alliance and CTRL. The reason USA left, easy bonuses. Yes, their new president, which seems he is proto-communicating from what logs/pm people have posted of having conversations with him, he wanted easy bonuses in mexico and decided to betray years of brotherhood with canada. He said he won't join any alliance with poland unless france/germany get their regions back. We all know the current situation on the world map.
And now.
eBalkan alliance is the same thing with what poland did, they are trying to pull out croatia/romania/greece and maybe even turkey out of eden, to form "balkana alliance" . These 3 i mentioned above are probably the strongest countries in eden, and we all know what will happen if only china and other countries will be left(dont get me wrong, i respect other countries but they dont have as high damage as these 3 🙂
), eden will collapse or at the very least be left with 50% less power.
And after this will happen, if EDEN will collapse, the balkan "alliance" will not last long, either because this is one's plan to get rid of eden, or it will end due to political "war" . For e.g. romanian-hungary in the same alliance its not supported very well by players, some say that it will be good and we should let RL problems outside of eRep, but they are the minority. I agree with that, RL issues should be gone.
Anyway, like i said, spoland and ser/hun are going to probably form a new alliance.
Pheonix,Peace(pheonixx2),NWO(pheonixx3),ONE(pheonixx4),somenewalliance name(Pheonixx5). They dont care about history of "alliance", just the history of their brotherhood, they can just make a new one. But EDEN will fall, harder than it did in the past 10months, and we are going to be played. Sure some countries will keep mpps and have good relations, just like spoland and hun/serb have, after all 4 alliances are done died, they keep their mpp and are allies eitherway, but the 3year old alliance, 3 years of history through good and bad, will be gone sooner or later.
Either way, USA and Brazil are done, their damage is anyway going to kill balkan, so our only option is to believe in the illusion that a there will become a true brotherhood between the 6 forever-enemies, cro-serb, greece-macedonia, romania-hungary.
And about USA guy who said he is sick of balkan wars. My man, if it wasn't for balkan players(rom/cro/mac/greek/bulgaria/turkey/serb even), USA wouldn't have half the damage it has now.
And to all players who were shouting and screaming out loud, warning the us govt. that they will leave the US if they become allied with spoland, let me see you leave the us. Stick up for what you claimed, walk the walk don't just talk the talk.
So the war TEDEN hopefully, its not going to lose to the end, its politically, not militarily.
I hope 100% im wrong and things are going to change, make eRepublik truly more interesting, but i doubt it 🙂

Bravo! Bun articol. Foarte bine punctat. O alianță între cele 6 națiuni ar fi un obiectiv interesant, dar utopic. Iar eu personal sunt pe cale să renunț la cetățenia SUA și din motivul enunțat în articol.
Nu stiu daca interesant, dar oricum suntem in pericol. Ori ca ne sterg sarbii si o sa stea brazilia/sua etc pe capu nostru si stam stersi, ori ca ne bagam cu sarbii care defapt vor sa ne scoata din eden cum a facut spolonia cu sua/brazilia, noi suntem dusi oricum. Avem speranta sa fim frati cu sarbii dar daca nu, este o certitudine ca o sa fim stersi constant daca CTRL o sa stea pe capu nostru(cro,rom si grecia. nu o sa dea aia in serbia sau fyrom/ungaria🙂 ).
iar cu nemesis .... nu ar trebui sa-i aparam ca sunt romani de-ai nostri inloc sa dam vina pe ei. Era un timp cand Romania avea balls of steel si nu lasa pe nimeni sa faca ceea ce au facut brazilieni

sau dus. atunci aveam politicieni care nu furau 400.000 ron si 150 gold, atunci aveam strategi buni la putere. Dar acesti jucatori ori sau retras, ori sau mutat in america pt ca sau scarbit. Acum este doar o batalie politica in romania si nimic nu se misca, hotu striga hot, imi aminteste de politica din RL cu basescu si ponta 🙂) . Si atunci cand aveam balls of steel, era un modul diferit si puterile in lume erau altele.

asa e. in principiu eden e mort oricum. Ori ca parasim eden si facem allianta, si neo trag sarbii si ungurii dupaia, ori ca stam in eden si ramanem stersi, cum am zis si lui Paul. Noi oricum nu o sa putem sa facem multe mult timp de acum, chiar daca ne ajuta sarbii in prima faza, cateva saptamani(asta daca facem alianta si iesim din eden). Doar daca revin in tara playerii vechi cu lvl mare si care au habar de strategie, atunci poate, mai ales ca ar slabii si dmg al SUA
alianta cu sarbii si iesirea din EDEN e inevitabila.

I call them once macedonian and he said macedonia is region in greece, we are fyrom(a guy from macedonia told me so) and since then i call them fyrom. If you want macedonia, take it as macedonia just dont point it out and bi*** about it.

I think all the Balkan counties cannot be on the same side but, Romania and Hungary can be on the same side. Why not? Who could know one year ago that Turkey and Greece would be the brothers like that? And aren't you bored to fight against Hungary for years? I think that's the chance to make the game more exciting!

Romania and Hungary tried to make a NAP like 2 weeks ago. At first hungary accepted, then, from what i understood, they put in some kind of clauses and because of that Romania refused. Now, imagine how can romania and hungary be on the same side when they couldn't even reach an agreement over a NAP?

I agree that Balkan Allience with all Balkan nations will destroy in few months. But, we can enlarge our alience with the counties like Hungary, i think.

I completely agree, the truth is if hungary would want to join eden, i dont think there would be a problem(on the contrary when turkey joined eden). But hungary, being an important member in one and having good relations with serb spoland, they dont want to do anything but cause the ping-pong war with romania. We are sick of it but they keep on attacking so we strike back, and so on...
But really if hungary wanted to join eden i dont think anybody would say no and i agree with you 😛
Io daca ne aliem cu sarbii si-i lasam balta pe croati emigrez. Alianta noastra cu croatii dureaza de o vesnicie, sa ii tradam inseamna sa ne bagam singuri in aceeasi catwgorie ca polonezii. Prefer sa stam stersi cateva luni, decat sa-mi fac obrazul spate.
Pe de alta parte, un pact de neagresiune intre sarbi si croati (deci nu mpp), unul intre noi si unguri, si unul intre turci si bulgari, toate garantate mutual, si urmarirea unor interese comune pana la un punct determinat cred ca e fezabil

My personal opinion is near the same as you wrote it in your article.
I get enough of eUSA, get enough of endless unnecessary wars, and don't care about RL problems here.
A hardly territorial alliance would be the greatest idea for now, and I'm quiet curios what can do a war-machine where Hungary and Romania are in the same side.
Pe de alta parte, EDEN nu e mort. EDEN au numit-o unii (polonezi) "the undying alliance", ca de ani de zile se tot chinuie unii s-o omoare, si EDEN face ce face si supravietuieste, indiferent de costuri si sacrificii. EDEN e o idee, un ideal al unei aliante dincolo de interese meschine, de moment. O idee n-are cum sa moara, cata vreme exista oameni care cred in ea.
@wwerko96: Yes, they like Serbs and Lolands well but they like Turks too : ) Those two country had special relations before and had to be opposite side. I think Hungarians would be bored about that Romanian-Hungarian wars and will not be so disagree to be on the same side with Turkey(I hope : D).
In plus, o alianta balcanica n-are cum sa apara cata vreme nu apare o alianta anti-balcanica - una cu scopul declarat de a rade toate tarile balcanice, fara discriminare. Cum nimeni nu vrea sa se lupte cu sarbii, iar sarbii greu se vor lasa convinsi sa faca o alianta cu noi, din cauza lungii noastre prietenii cu croatii, si in plus ii au alaturi si pe unguri, concluzia, cred eu, se impune, si nu suna bine pt. noi.
Dar vorba pusa de poet in gura unuia cu minte multa, inima mare si la locul care trebuie, si mai ales spate drept: ce e scris si pentru noi/bucurosi le-om duce toate,/de e pace, de-i razboi.
@Magad Uram: an alliance formed of all countries of the Balkans, plus Hungary and Romania, would have no opponents, if it stood like a single man in battle. Unfortunately, we are not the only ones knowing this, and all stronger countries in the game will stand on their heads, if needed, to prevent such an alliance. And of course, our age-old animosities don't help either.
Sa nu cadem in plasa polonezilor si a sirbilor, dar mai presusu de toate, sa nu cadem in plasa ungurilor. Mare atentie, Romania trebuie sa ramina alaturi de aliatii ei si sa-si caute alti aliati, pe cit posibil altii decit dusmanii traditionali.
@proy😛 there are strong relations of traditional animosity in the region. Hungary - Romania, Serbia - Croatia, Bulgaria - Turkey, Greece - Turkey and many others.
The result is that none of us ever gets to do anything that lasts. As soon as one country expands, it gets attacked from three sides in its original regions.
If we could all learn from Greece and Turkey, we'd all become the undisputed rulers of ER. Failing to do so, we'll keep being just the training grouds of the world.

Me as a Romanian I won't say no to an alliance with Serbia Hungary or Fyrom aka Macedonia, but I'll accept that if my allies accept it too, and if we don't abandon any allied country.

Actually, Turkey has now become the problem. I think it's safe to say that Serbia/Hungary/Macedonia have fought Croatia/Romania/Greece long enough that they are ready to make peace, but can Serbia accept alliance with Turkey? This is a major stumbling block.
This is why you need to leave EDEN.

Spain: Like Poland, they left the allience and be friend of Brazil and USA.
Indonesia: Tried to left the allience when you were on you bad days. They are good friends on good days.
Serbia: Always was selfish. Now they are facing to be alone and NE'ed Romania. The only thing they think is not to loose you nowadays. That's all.
Macedonia(FYROM): You will see that they will be a part of COT. They will be announce it officially in few days.
Yes, i think you should join EDEN. And Turkey and the others will be welcoming you. You can be sure that!

this "new alliance" is a trap set by one to disband eden, by taking cro-rom-greece out of eden to form new alliance like spoland did with usa/brazil. And the consequences of these actions are said in the article 🙂 and what is going to happen most likely :/

@proyd - I know that Turkey is friendly and actually we still kind of like them, but facts are facts. They caused a lot of trouble all along and ended up screwing us. At this point I (and I think most Hungarians) don't want to attack Turkey but I can understand why the Serbs do. The Serbs have been our most loyal allies all this time and we will stand by them. We will not leave them to join EDEN.
Also there's the matter of our pride and the name EDEN -> slight conflict.
