Eamon_de Valera for TD of Northwest

Day 461, 07:57 Published in Ireland Ireland by Eamon_de Valera

As a member of the current government, I have seen the true nature of the Dáil Éireann. I realize that it is quite difficult to get things done with a body of politicians such as those that populate the Dail. I would officially request that you as voters take it upon yourselves to realize the facts and that I, Eamon_de Valera am the top man to give those of you with the same beliefs as me, a voice in our government.

Political Beliefs
As it must be clearly visible by now, I am a right-leaning politician with strong feelings toward personal freedoms, liberty, and as little government intervention as possible.

I have questioned each and every single move put forth through the Dail, in a quest to ensure accountability. I have made it my personal duty to bring attention to the establishment of Dublin that the Northwest must not be forgotten. As northerners, it can be difficult to get a loud enough voice in the Dail for our needs and wants.

Unity
At this time, I am fully aware that joining eNorthern Ireland and eEire together is virtually impossible. However, I think it is fundamental duty that we as eIrishmen should aid republican and nationalist eNI citizens. I don't find anything wrong with pressing the fact that they are in a minority and more aid in the form of a vehicle or medium for representation is never a bad thing.

I welcome the attempts that some of our citizens are currently taking and wish to give them more assistance from those of us that wish to contribute to furthering the republican ideals.

Outlook
My vision for the future includes many things that I hold dear. I wish to keep a population of TD's who wish to see the government of eIreland shrink. I personally feel that we should fight any measures to bring about protectionist ideals and practices to our markets. We have seen the success of low trade barriers, food is cheaper and we have plenty of it for the tastes of every citizen. Going back on these successful measures seems ridiculous to me and I will work to fight against anything that could put us back into a food crisis.

I will work as a TD to drive home the point that eIreland and its government should be a place void of big business favoritism. We must ensure that the blue collar and middle class of eIreland are not held against our will by the business owners in the Dail who wish to increase their profits at the disadvantage of those people working for simple wages and buying the goods on the market.

Going hand in hand with the idea of limiting big business, I will fight the advantage government-owned businesses have on the market. I don't find it comforting that any business would have an advantage over another company simply because one company is owned by the establishment. We should realize that in dealing with socialism, we are dealing away our own personal freedoms. The invisible and ever presently equal theory of the free market must not be forgotten, as a place where the will of both buyers and sellers creates naturally represented prices the free market is one of the most central ideals of a fair government and economy.
