Changing the News
This article to the game-makers about news is not official E$C advice, but personal advice from 24MelloYello. I have played eRepublik off-and-on for about 3 years, so many of these suggestions come from former versions of eRepublik.

Subscriptions
Current directions to your newspaper subscriptions:

Home | Newspaper Subscriptions (under News Categories) | Article
or
Shortcut to Top News (Shift + t) | Subscriptions | Article

I think there should be an easier way to get to your subscriptions, especially if you visit them daily. I also think you should be alerted when the newspaper you are subscribed to publishes an article. The way to solve these two convinces is to add a button that indicates subscriptions in the bar below your missions along with the buttons for your mail and alerts. This solution was used during the first stint I played in eRepublik.

Publishing House
Currently, you cannot publish any two articles within the same hour. eRepublik explains this fact with the statement that: your article has been sent to the printing house; you can print another article in an hour. First of all, if your article is in the printing house for an hour, then why does your article become visible to other players the moment it is published? Second of all, is this an attempt to make the game more realistic? If so, it isn’t because modern printing houses can definitely publish two articles in an hour. Do away with the hour limit and the printing house excuse.

Article Characters
Currently, there is no limit to the characters you can publish in a single article. This has resulted in articles being published seldom, but these articles are often 3 times as long as a realistic newspaper article. I can’t think of anyone that is in favor of reading this amount on a small issue. Limit the characters, making newspaper editors publish daily articles at a readable amount. Hope this article wasn't too long, hehe.
