For those reading who do not speak Japanese, I am the SOS Brigade Chief. It is nice to meet you.

This article is a part of kyuutai's efforts to give a variety of perspectives on why eJapan is an ideal place to live in eRepublik.

As eJapan is populated mainly by English speaking players I shall continue this article in English. However we have a variety of players both prominent and quiet who speak the Japanese Language if that is your preference.

These are my top three reasons for why I believe eJapan is the best place to hold residence in erepublik:



Community

Despite current drama and unholy levels of conflict amongst players in eJapan, everyone is still able to take a step back and joke with each other. We have a vibrant community that is concerned not only with the politics of the game itself, but the culture of our eCountry. We are a close knit group of players that are both passionate and protective.

Everyone knows everyone else who is active on our forums and or our IRC Channels on both the coldfront and rizon servers.

New Player Friendly

We also value new players, we are an extremely welcoming community to those who are new to the game and will help anyone who comes to ask us for that assistance. Many of our political parties proudly boast assistance to new players who come to Japan. We even welcome newer players to work in our government under light jobs until they gain the skills to rise up.

Players are also encouraged to try to do a variety of things. Unlike many countries our top five parties are always in flux, and new parties are created frequently. We do our best to keep old parties alive and we enjoy seeing new groups rise to the occasion.

We also have a system of companies that offer many level 0 job opportunities to assist in getting newer players jobs in our economy. After all working is very important when you are just starting!

Further, if you are new and still have an idea? there are players from every party who will take the time to listen to your idea, and may help you get that idea into play in our government.

Little but Important

The reason we can give so much attention and opportunity to newer players and have such a close community is because of our size.

Japan is a small country. Not in numbers but physical size. There are only so many places a player can be from and that facilitates a sense of closeness in our community. There are no rifts amongst regions, were players boast one region over another negatively. We have pride in our regions, but there are only three with level 5 hospitals, so there isn't a massive divide due to this.

But despite how close and small our country is we hold a significant role in the world.

One of our top three regions, Kyushu, is a literal gateway between eAsia and the eUSA.

If there is a significant war effort that involves both players then eJapan becomes the center of attention in the world awfully quick. Citizens of eJapan do not hold as much say over what becomes of the situation or what happens to Kyushu, but if you join and make it to congress your voice can be heard in such matters.

Needless to say there are many things happening in and around eJapan to keep things interesting for our small country.

The Fourth Reason

The secret fourth reason to join eJapan is that it is currently the only country that has an open political party for the global citizen union known as the SOS Brigade.

The SOS Brigade is an active group that supports citizen efforts around the world and exists to help players feel like the world is just that much smaller, while still being full of opportunity. Our main goal after activity is to help open doors that would otherwise be closed.

We found eJapan as a lovely location to start our journey because it shares many of our same values, and supports the creation of the new.
